I'm sure Wilhite feels terrible about what happened to Taylor but it was an unfortunate accident. It's been like that for Hawaii this year. I disagree. I'm sure she flipped back into game mode quite quickly.

People don't honestly believe that any player would intentionally hurt somebody else, right?! Sarah Wilhite wants to beat the best players by playing the game, not by hurting them. Also, let's think logically about this for just a second. Taylor came down on top of Wilhite. What would the plan have been to intentionally hurt her? Land in one spot and hope that Taylor came down on top of her? I am very disappointed that she got hurt. She was amazing to watch in Des Moines last year and last night. I wanted to see the two teams battle. But to say that any player intentionally tried to hurt abother is just ridiculous. Would you be saying the same thing if Taylor came down first, and Wilhite got hurt? Wilhite purposely put her foot over the line where Nikki had to land. While approaching from 10 feet off the net, jumpong and timing and placing it perfectly under her foot, blindly while tacking the ball. Hwll of a play.

As someone completely neutral in this situation I think it's ridiculous to say Wilhite injured Taylor on purpose. That would be incredibly dangerous for Wilhite to even TRY because if she "was trying to injure Taylor", if she mistimed it by a split second, she would be the one with the career-ending injury.

Does Wilhite realize her criminal, and I do mean, criminal act, could have just ended the Hall Of Fame Coaching career of Dave Shoji.

Proud of the Wahine for battling after losing Taylor so early in this match. Thank you to Hawaii's seniors: Taylor Higgins, Annie Mitchem, Katiana Ponce, and especially to Nikki Taylor, I wish them all the best in the future. Hawaii struggled through a lot of adversity this season, I hope the volleyball gods are kinder to the Wahine program next year. Congrats to the Gophers and their fans. Hope they win it all this year. I hope these last two meetings between the team lead to many more!

Are you joking, Hugh does not even close to Dave Shoji, in coaching ability.

This thread is without a doubt the worst 36 page effort in the history of VT. Sad.

I can't believe Hawaii fans are still dragging this thread.Amazing! it's really just a couple crazy posters who happen to be hawaii fans ... and then posters like you egging them on ... so that the thread drags on ... and you get to blame all hawaii posters ... that's the typical pattern on VT ...

Quite a few teams took advantage of an undermanned Wahine team this year, primarily do to injury. But as the saying goes, payback can be a bitch. I can see the Wahine next year, and the years following, cashing in on these paybacks, in an extremely take no prisoner way.

People will probably disagree but if Dave does retire wouldn't Berg be a good fit? I mean 3 things going for her. 1. From Hawaii 2. Played for Minny. Would probably have good recruitment connections? 3. 2 Time U.S. Olympic setter with international recognition.
Would this be bad choice?
