Fired up Horizon Dawn again. Think I completed all the side missions in Nora after being dragged back to Carja to free a vengeful daughter from Carja traders. So...decided to do the Frozen Wild and sheesh! No wonder the weapons you get here are better than any in the original realm. The beasts are tough to kill! Looking for the shaman right now, going through the shaman trail. Hate the stalkers...tough to kill and can be easily killed by them. Just when I thought I had the stalker, a second one popped up...oi! Afterwards I ran into the bear like machine...emptied a couple of quarries taking it down. Fire is its weakness but the fire arrow did little damage. Stopped there for the night after killing it.

I entered it at various points in my playthroughs -- 50, 30, 27, 20, 17-ish. When you get your new weapons and outfits from the DLC, you'll be near invincible when you return to the main game. The shock weapon (stormslinger) can kill almost anything. I used the flamethrower (forge fire) weapon to kill the baddest bosses. Ditto the ice weapon (ice rail). The ice rail takes some getting used to as it charges really slowly, but once it's at full charge and you fire at an enemy, they suffer a lot of damage. The ice, fire, and stealth outfits were also pretty cool.

Right now I'm just carrying the Shadow Hunter and Sharpshot bows, as well as the Shadow Tripcaster. To buy all that stuff need a lot of...what is it...bluegleam. Hope there is enough out there to collect. Reading online there is also an Adept version of the weaponry, guess from a new game or extension.

I did fine on "Normal" difficulty. You'll have enough Bluegleams to buy all the weapons and outfits you need, provided you actually collect most/all the Bluegleams out there. Not difficult. Only two were located in tricky places. I got 100% every single play through on the Bluegleams without looking at a single walkthrough or cheat. In fact, I only looked at ONE walkthrough and this was during the early stages of my first play through when I was kind of confused.

They sold the game Hitman by selling each location separately, releasing them one at a time. However, by the time I bought it, you could just buy them all as one package.
Hitman 2 was released for free, but except for one short mission you need to buy all the locations. Unlike the previous game, they released them all at one time. You can buy a "starter pack" of just the first two locations, or you can buy all the locations.
Hitman 2 also allows you to replay all the Hitman locations in the Hitman 2 game, which changes a few of the game mechanics. (In Hitman 2 you can hide in long grass or "blend into the crowd". You can also carry an illegal rifle in a briefcase when you are not costumed as a security guard.) Hitman 2 also adds a few corresponding difficulties -- in some levels there are people who will spot you as a hitman even before you have done anything, so you have to use that "blend into the crowd" thing.
So I've been replaying the Hitman missions in Hitman 2. I want to go on to buy the Hitman 2 missions, but they are pretty expensive ($80). I'm waiting for Steam to have a sale.
OMG, it's the first step to becoming Wolfgang!

At the very least, you'll become a more patient man with enormous impulse control. You'll never feel rushed.

LOL, after typing that I thought, "What the hell, I should check Steam." It was on "mid-week special" sale! So I went ahead and bought it.

Hitman 2 has an interesting feature. It automatically saves certain clips of video (like kills of your targets) and then afterward offers to upload them onto Youtube or Facebook. They are obviously going for the "word of mouth (or is that word of eye?)" advertising strategy.

Finished the Hitman 2 storyline (still lots of things to do in the game, though). They clearly have set this up as a trilogy (or maybe more). In Hitman you do a bunch of random contracts and then realize they aren't random. Someone is manipulating you into attacking a group called Providence. At the end, Providence agrees to work with you to go after this "Shadow Client". In Hitman 2, you go after targets that are helping the Shadow Client and finally you reach him, but he turns out to be Agent 47's long-lost best friend from when they were both research subjects. And Providence turns out to be the people who were behind the research. So you go after targets that are designed to get you access to The Consort, who is sort of Providence's liaison between the Board and everyone else. Finally you capture him, and he tells you who is on the Board, implying a Hitman 3 where you will go after this Providence Board.

The last time I played video games was, per my daily journal, March 22, 2019. So, it's been over two months since I last touched my console!
(This sounds like an Alcoholics Anonymous testimonial.)
