did you finish the talos principle? No. I need to kill people. Ah. Unfortunately for you, in the Talos Principle all the people have been pre-killed.

Dishonored
Forgot how deadly the rats were. Immediately realized in the sewers (after my prison escape) when I witnessed a gang of rats devouring two perfectly healthy guards for no other reason than they were standing at the wrong place at the wrong time.

DID I NOT JUST REMIND YOU ABOUT THE RATS? Dishonored Feel like playing this game. Don't know why. A desperate need for more rats in your life?

I'm in this transient state where things are uncertain and unstable. I've been playing a little bit of Sleeping Dogs, Resistance 3, Dying Light, Dishonored, and Shadow of Mordor. Desperate for a new game on sale.

Battlefield 1
This is a WWI game with the single player campaign divided up into 6 distinct stories set in various locations in Europe/North Africa. The tutorial "story," which wasn't much of a tutorial, "teaches" you the most basic gameplay controls while you fight alongside your fellow Negro regiment in the Western Front in 1918. When you die, you take the body of another Negro soldier. All the playable characters you inhabit will die in this tutorial section. This serves as the prologue to the remaining 5 war stories.
One thing I noticed is that when you're wounded and low in health, your movements are slow. Almost a painful crawl.
So far, so good.

Battlefield 1
The first main mission is a tank-themed mission. In the first part of this mission, I, a British soldier, am tasked with driving a tank and blowing up artillery and the bad bad Germans on some trenched battlefield in Europe 1918.
In the second part, I have to get out and "lead" my tank through a forest so thick with fog, you can't see much of anything. So, I'm basically on foot and have to clear out enemy encampments all by myself so that my tank can get through the thick forest safely. Oh, and all I have is a pistol. LOL!
In the third part, I have to stealthily go to a village to get much needed repair parts for my tank. That's where I am right now.

It's not helping you as much as you think. In fact, it's holding you back. Think about it: you had to risk your life to lead it through the forest. You have to risk your life to fix it. It's time for you to move on, my friend. There will be other tanks.

Battlefield 1
These WWI era guns take a looooong time to reload and the recoil is ridiculous! Hey, but I've got a bayonet at the end of my rifle so all's good!

Some game titles just annoy me to death. Mortal Kombat X (aka Mortal Kombat 10) got good reviews. There's also another game titled "Mortal Kombat XL" which I assumed was Mortal Kombat 40 (because XL=40). But it's not. Mortal Kombat XL is merely the "game of the year" edition of Mortal Kombat X, which means it's Mortal Kombat X plus all the DLCs. It's just titled that way. Maybe it means "Extra Large"?

Battlefield 1
Done with the first mission (i.e., tanks). The various parts of this mission alternate from tank battle to soldier-on-foot battle. Graphics is great. I didn't realize until I started to play that my tank can destroy walls, which isn't as obvious as it sounds as many games have environmental elements (e.g., buildings, walls, trees) that can't be destroyed no matter what. Not in Battlefield. I can essentially reshape the terrain as I see fit. I realized this when I was chasing an enemy tank which was behind cover (a building). I accidentally shot the building because my aim was bad and the building was just leveled, exposing the enemy tank. LOL! After that, I started leveling everything in my way. Europe was once beautiful until the tanks arrived.
