5/1 or 6/2? Who will provide the firepower outside? Who will replace the two middles?

Honestly, Miller had a lot of location issues and it was unfortunate that Claire Felix really didn't get too much looks. The 2017 class for UCLA should be a good one. I expect May and Mosser to both contribute

I see (Official UCLA Website) that Alexa Dreyer is not on the Spring 2017 Roster. I also notice Zana Muno is not participating in games on the UCLA beach volleyball team.
Just observations... Hope things shape up well for the Fall.

Mosser strikes me as the perfect candidate for UCLA volleyball, if her ball control skills can translate to the next level.

Hope things shape up well for the Fall. Muno is redshirting for beach to get over a lingering injury issue. Gates will for sure be one of the middles, not sure the other. Unless Miller improves a lot this spring, I would imagine a 6-2 given the depth they have on the pins. As for who will be on the court, I have no stinking clue. Buechler, TVW, Mosser, May, Light, Rogers. Fun practice gym!!

5/1 or 6/2? Who will provide the firepower outside? Who will replace the two middles? Jenny Moser (Minnesota Select 18-1) She's an absolute beast. I'm thinking she'll be able to come in and contribute right away.

Can't really go to a 6-2 without another setter. Who else do they have? Muno? They have Katie Jacobs coming in but I don't know much about her. They'll have a lot of young and exciting players though, so hopefully we get to see them all.

If they go the way of the 6-2, I would love to see Muno back at the setter position. I know a lot of people think she's Formico's replacement but Muno set some really strong matches during that 2015 season while Chandler was injured. And a 6-2 would prevent other teams from exposing her height at the net.

Muno will have to set in a 6-2, I doubt Jacobs will be ready. They will be depending on a couple of freshmen improving rapidly and will be young

A bit surprise they did not nab a setter transfer. Miller was ranked higher than Gray but she looked overwhelmed on the court. Her location and decision makings were poor last year. Really hoping for a vast improvement from her. This is the first time the team has firepower on the pins. The setters should have a great time setting them up. Replacing Formico would be the biggest challenge. Muno's passing was pretty bad last year, I think Simo will be the libero

Hope things shape up well for the Fall. Muno is suffering from Turf Toe (at least according to one of the Beach VB telecasts). Hopefully she is healthy for the fall season.

OH Van Winden and Buechler? Opposite? Middles Gates and Rogers?
Are any of the incoming freshmen ready?

They'll all play significantly. We all know Sealy keeps a short leash.
I do wonder if Rogers goes back to middle. They've got a sophomore who rarely played and 2 freshmen there.

I could be wrong, but isn't their biggest problem replacing Formico? She was running the show last year and made that team very tough to beat.
