Volleyball Jim....Any chance we are going to get a statement from Kerri regarding the negotiations to the mag. Just asking because I see people (probably casual fan) telling her that they can't wait to see her play next weekend. Obviously, if your a hardcore BVB you know what's been going on.

guest2: Ft. Lauderdale this year showed Summer/Brooke in a very good position, which I had predicted a few week before the tourney on VT. BUT, I hadn't heard Brooke stuck with KW position & Summer moved over . . . interesting...I think Summer is going to be a larger force soon PLUS she is a hand setter, but then I just like to argue about this stuff ;-) By moved over do you mean Summer is playing AVP? I hadn't heard that either. In Ft. Lauderdale it seemed like they were getting off to a very good start, but then they played a top team (Larissa) and got skunked. Thats tolerale, but in the third place match they played a solid top level team and also got destroyed. Brooke just can't put the ball away against high level teams. This shows the top 50 teams on the FIVB last year bvbinfo.com/Season.asp?AssocID=3&Gender=W&Year=2016&Process=TeamSummaryOf note is that Brooke led all 50 in 25th place finishes. Only one other team had 4, and Brooke/Lauren had 5. I agree Summer could be something more, but not playing with Brooke. I'd be surprised if Fort Lauderdale is not their highest finish of the year in a 3 star or above event

Did athletes have to sign the contract already or can they still sign it?

News coming from an AVP player involved. Contract requires that if you qualify for the main draw, you legally must compete in ALL AVP events. Top 16 teams had to sign the contract. Once a team got through to the main draw it will be presented a contract to sign. The AVP required that players to drop their counsel before signing the contract. I quote this player involved.."The AVP was unwilling to come to the table & negotiate 13 unfathomable portions of a 1-sided contract. A lot of players took their way. I took the highway". I guess the only question I have on this is RIO FIVB (4 ⭐️)& Austin AVP are the same dates and top teams are in RIO. April & Kerri have not entered this event. So not sure, unless written permission were given.
