Canada earned their bronze. Solid defense by them throughout the tournament. Their setter/libero/OPP are a strong trio.

No, Micah is not hurt, but Speraw did not like what he was doing. Shoji's setting has been atrocious, but Speraw is staying with him.

18-21 Van Berkel jf bad pass, Clark D cross wide 18-22 Van Berkel jf, Jendryk 3 bounce. s/Muagututia/Jendryk/ 19-22 Muagututia js offspeed net. Christenson is back in 19-23 Sanders jf, Clark D akimbo tip, Vigrass 1 blocked deep (Smith) 20-23 Christenson js long 20-24 Perrin js lollipop, Smith 1 turn left off Sanders' chest 21-24 Sander js net 21-25 = 1-3.
USA +18-20-22-21 Canada Canada had about eight guys contributing, including two guys off their bench who were better than any of our starters. Deeper and sharper. On top of that, we looked slow and flat, since yesterday.
Well, top 4 was a good result after the 1st weekend. We stuck with this group and amassed a bunch of data. Let these losses rankle and add motivation for a few years: play that sharp, with defense like that, and someday you can win like that.

Is Carson Clark ever going to get better? I mean the excuse for other guys is they're new but Carson's been around for a long time. Every time he comes on, he makes zero difference

That's some of the poorest serving I have ever seen to finish the match. I was hoping Patch would be our answer on the Right but the question still remains. Our guys are still young so this result doesn't worry me so much especially since some of the A team was missing. Top 4 isn't bad but clearly Canada is rising. We need to be better I feel a lot of missed opportunities were seen today and against Brazil.

Canada earned their first medal and it is well deserved. This just shows you the weakness of the opposite position for USA, but I'm very hopeful. Ben patch has a lot of upside and I hope he can develop, Clark sadly to say has tapped out potentially since his college years. Vernon-Evans is better then patch and Clark at only 18 years old!! On a bright note I believe this USA team is going to be a powerhouse when Anderson, holt, and Russell return.

Hopefully Patch will learn from this tournament and put some range into his hitting.

Well deserved bronze medal for Canada. They are playing great volleyball and still can improve a lot.
Too bad Cuba can not play with their best players, otherwise USA,Canada and Cuba competing in the Norceca would be awesome.

Canada earned their bronze. Solid defense by them throughout the tournament. Their setter/libero/OPP are a strong trio. I would add their MB`s as well. I`ve been impressed with them.
