You mean the tour in Brazil? They'll allow a US player?

Casebeer played last season, option for those wanting to play nearly year round.

Casebeer played last season, option for those wanting to play nearly year round. But Casebeer has a Brazilian wife: Maria Salgado.

The Brazilian federation occasionally allows foreigners to play on their domestic tour. Since Reid is more famous in Brazil than he is in the USA, and he's playing with a legend, makes sense to me. The Brazilian tour can market the hell out of that pair.

Just announced, more experience, smart. Interesting decision. I'm sure Reid looked at it from every angle, not sure there is a player out there more thoughtful about preparation etc. The big advantage would seem to be much more high level play, but I'm curious about the drawbacks of such an extended season at his age. Glad to see someone going the "play more" route.

I think it's smart. He'll be a different player by next spring.

Walking down Huntington Pier this morning, there he was, training with coach, FIVB balls in play. Guy is a worker for sure.

what is the season for their tour?? It's like Feb-May I think? First event is about two weeks from now. There are 9-10 events between late September and early April (not counting challengers - their version of AVP Next - age group tournaments etc).

Do you know of any way we can follow that tour or information on it? I'm sure we'll get updates through Priddy social media but it would be a nice fix to follow in the offseason in general. I don't really know if this worked out this way, but even when they had their monumental collapse against Slick/Allen when Slick hurt his soldier, I kind of thought Ricardo knew he would like playing with Reid because of his ability to make plays.

There might be some social media sources I'm not aware of, but the only way I've been able to reliably get results is from the Brazilian federation website. Naturally, it's in Portuguese, but once you get a feel for it, it's pretty easy to find results. voleidepraia.cbv.com.br Click on "Calendario" and you should be able to see results. First Open starts on 9/17 I think.

Glad Priddy is teyibg out the Brazilian league. This will help his learning curve. Hopefully this also helps him with the avp in finding a younger blocker to play with. Dude is a beast of a worker
