Were they even allowed to play this year after playing Long Beach?

Thats a good point. Certainly the thrill of playing top level competition that one time must have made up for sitting home and watching 8 AVP events on the livestream as well as the $10,000 or so that Billy, at least, gave up. Nothing wrong with the initial action, that certainly took some courage, but failing to back off it when circumstances changed just seems pigheaded. Guest 2 shoots & scores, precisely my point, perfectly put, bow wrapped. My suspicions are confirmed. Guest2 and 405LAX are the same person.

Some of you guys act like the AVP is shelling out millions and and players not committed to it to play elsewhere are committing career suicide.
Miles Evans pretty much made just under guys like Adam Roberts did and made more money playing 1 NVL event than Mark Burik, Derek Olson, AVP "future" Brian Cook, a handful of other main draw players, and countless other AVP qualifiers who "continue to waste their time" playing the AVP circuit did on the entire AVP tour this year.

Yes, because it's impossible to have two people have sound options that don't mesh with your "let everyone just be happy" takes. Snowflakes are just the worst.

Snowflakes are just the worst. I think the problem moreso is your, "if you don't agree with me you are a snowflake" opinion. After all, you are the one criticizing the players for not choosing the career path you think is right, rather than just allowing them to have their own opinion on what's best for their life. The irony of that train of thought is you know absolutely nothing about their life. I would have thought you would have figured that out when you created the thread mocking fellow poster Mewwhirter's desire to continue playing the qualifiers. It's ok if people have different decisions on how to handle their own lives that don't necessarily agree with your thoughts.

Here's the bottom line Chic, both of them are second-rate players who refuse to step it up and play with the big boys on a week-in-week-out basis. That shows both me - and the world - that they are just fine being second-rate players; both undoubtedly claiming they are "professional" players on the "international" tour. Nope, second-tier players you shall forever be.

Another zero calorie take, "sorry you had a bad week"? What's the point of posting? Bring something of value to the conversion or don't bother, saying guys can choose wherever they want to play is useless babble. Criticizing them for not playing the best competition when they are clearly able to hang is a wholly legitimate criticism. Step up your nutritional value or stay on the sidelines.

405LAX you sound like a bitter wannabe player who got cut from every team he tried out for; not like a great analyst who brings HOT TAKES. Let people play where they wanna play. I mean, does it matter where you play your World of Warcraft tournaments? Should I criticize you for playing in your mom's basement, instead of at Starbucks?...regardless of your talent level? When did this board become so full of personal attacks on other posters? Also maybe this is just where I live but no way does Starbucks internet support high level gaming. Kettle

Are we really talking bout players that can hang? That's an interesting question..
