Looks like they are playing the Rd 1 matches today too. Friday night vball should have a nice loud crowd! Ive been wondering why they play morning matches at all since its indoors. Especially the weekday matches. Start at 2 or 3 and play until midnight. Sign up one of those legendary Dutch breweries as a sponsor and go from there that may be worth the flight over there.

Wish the AVP would do this on Fridays and Saturdays.. you'll get a much bigger crowd at 10pm then 10am. I know they'd have to bring in portable lights so unfortunately that would one more expense Mr. Sun would have to write a check for.

It would be but would make a huge difference if they could figure out how to do it. Not sure with the specific locations if its possible but late night BVB at the NY stop? NOLA?

L FIVB they ran night matches Sat. night. It was good, everyone was a bit more comfortable and saucy.

What’s Casey Jennings doing in The Hague? On Alex Ranghieri’s IG story, he has “reunion” and he pans around to show Casey Patterson, Samoilov, Smedins, Pedro Solberg, and Casey Jennings.

Miles and Bill lose in Round 1 18-21, 16-21 against Ranghieri/Caminati. Casey and Stafford lose in Round 1 21-12, 7-21, 12-15 against the French.
Also, Pedro Solberg and George are out after losing to Latvia’s Plavins/Tocs at 25-27, 21-23.

All USA men’s team out of tournament.
Ryan and Billy finish with the best of a 9th place finish after defeat by Varenhorst/Bouter: 26-24, 15,21, 17-19.
Ranghieri/Caminati have also defeated Guto/Vitor Felipe.

I would be curious to know how hard these guys trained for this tournament, knowing there is really nothing again until the end of February.

I would be curious to know how hard these guys trained for this tournament, knowing there is really nothing again until the end of February. If they didn't, then they made a huge mistake. All of these teams are trying to play FIVB this year and all are qualifier teams right now. A fifth place here could have shot one of these teams to the top of the also rans. Nick/Phil, Jake/Taylor and Theo/Hyden are taking the automatic spots for the US. That means every team here is playing CQs and Qualifiers to get into most future 4 or 5 stars. A good finish here could have put a team at the top of the CQ, meaning playing one rather than two matches, and gotten a better qualifier seed, and many of these qualifiers are no joke. (Doherty/Hyden lost in one last year) Same with the CQs. Which of these teams would you bet even money on to win two straight against any two of the other teams. Missed opp for all these teams

That’s a lot of USA teams in the mix.
There were five teams here, plus the three you mentioned, so that’s eight teams!

First men’s semifinals are determined:
Brouwer/Meeuwsen (NED) vs Kantor/Losiak (POL)
I feel the Poles will win this one.
