That is... really sad. That’s just pushing the teams who play internationally to skip the domestic AVP events... I don’t understand the reasoning behind this. Especially the Manhattan Beach Open with World Tour Finals. Both are the biggest events and yet AVP chooses to have a schedule clash! I thought the Huntington Beach event would be one event. So weird for two beach volleyball events, one domestic and one international to take place on the same weekend, in the same location... Which event would fans go to?? I’m very disappointed in the AVP schedule.

Well, NYC doesn’t have any conflicts if it makes anything better.

Any idea on scores? Streaming? Streaming should be fairly easy since its indoors

The prize money difference between a four star and an AVP (particularly a Gold Series) is pretty small. For 1st through 4th, the money is either identical (within $500) or better on the AVP. There are points considerations etc. but if you were Doherty/Allen for example, would you stay home, where 4th will net you 10k (and where you will finish at least 4th unless you really embarrass yourselves) or go to Portugal, where a 4th is an incredible finish? If not for the points (which are admittedly huge) an AVP Gold Series is a much better choice for every US team than a 4 star. I assume what will happen is the top teams will stagger who stays and goes to some extent

I like Klineman on the Right, that line shot is going to be crazy high over blocks. (pretty wimpy serve on match point BTW)

COUNTRY QUOTASemifinal Klineman/Ross def. Flint/Larsen 21-16 21-13 Final Klineman/Ross def. Hochevar/Day 15-21 21-18 15-8 This is a good match for the A-Team, pushed and responded with force. Hoch & Day are a veteran team, they'd know how to pick on a team if they could.

Qualifier should be relatively easy after that Neither win is a surprise to me...Flint & Larsen are so not an FIVB caliber team...At least not yet....Brit & Em can’t win an important match on the FIVB if someone handed it to them...April & Alix, barring any major injury to either one is going to have a fabulous year...You heard it here 1st...I think they match up well against this tourney field pretty well. I’m gonna go out on a limb & say podium!!!
