Anyway, on Dreschel, this helps Washington escape needing to find a pin in the 2019 class, which is helpful. Don't sleep on her, she's very good, with a solid arm and can put pace on a jump serve. IMO, unless Crenshaw adds considerable power to her shots or Cole develops better timing on her approach, Dreschel has considerably more upside on the pin than anything in the 2018 class. If it weren't for the fact that we'd end up with probably an all freshmen RS blockers, I think Cook should give Dreschel a good long look on the OH. This team is going to struggle in serve receive and we have new setters, so getting our heaviest arms on the left to score some points may be our best outlet to keep up. the good news is that she's played with half the projected starting lineup in prep so hopefully this team can pull a 08 Nebraska and just have that magical chemistry. Drech sel. I could see: OH: Bajema, Drechsel OPP: Grote MB: Sanders, Niece S: Powell L: McPherson Who'll pass I don't know! McPherson will have to go from being hidden in serve-receive to covering for everyone else. Powell will need to "better" a lot of balls. If we can get the ball to the net, however, even if slow and high, we'll have some jack-hammers there.

I still see Maria Bogolomova in the mix for playing time.

Meh I think 2019 will be more of an indicator. Too many freshmen OH’s and a setter to gauge how good of a coach he is. And the Pac is pretty strong next year, we didn’t lose too much to graduation. I agree, we didn't lose much to graduation. Just Hazelwood. Oh, and Finau. And Dehoog. Oh, and don't forget Jones. Jones, yes. That's it. And Scambray. And Schwan. Oh, and Tanner. Otherwise. Pretty much the same team. We didn’t lose much in graduation as far as skill goes. I think this entire new lineup will be a blessing. The senior year for that class was horrid. The only silver lining to that class was Carly and Tia at libero since Shayne was still a liability in her 2nd year.. Everyone else had a below average performance. Hopefully this new class and Sam will light a much needed fire in the program. Just curious to see if Julye will see an influx of playing time or if she considers transferring

Well at least now Cook can say he has kept all the top talent in the state. *cough* Rubright....though I don't think we offered her. I also wouldn't have minded having Zimmerman (S) ....though a walk-on setter the caliber of Robinson isn't anything to sneeze at...or Reghan Pukis (OH) on the roster........I'd feel MUCH better about our back row if Van Sickle was on the roster. Anyone know if Avi Vetter grew some this past year?

I mean she could find a starting spot on a number of teams throughout the other big 3 western conferences, but if playing time was really her concern IMO she would have transferred before last year started.

Will Krista Vansant be the new Asst. Coach? That looks like the natural choice, doesn't it?
