Like the Olympics, right??? Amateurs all the way... For past 15 plus years foreign players in many sports, have been absorbed by US teams. Most VB players in other countries, that played HS ball, that actually were good, if they wanted to continue to play in their country, they were "pros". The issue of foreign players coming here and/or to any school has been resolved a long time ago. If it wasn't, we would NEVER see one playing on any of our college teams. Otherwise, if you see one - and many clubs have them, and they have played for years in the good '0le USA, - they played as a pro if they wanted to continue to play. Get over it and be prepared to welcome this young lady...

Your team gets an ex-pro who has failed PED tests and it’s against everything that is sacred. The NCAA, Mom, Apple Pie and the Church!!! My team gets same player and it’s time for everyone to grow up and welcome this light of humanity onto our team! Please refer to her as Your Royal Highness or Mother Theresa !!!

She went to another country to be a pro and she's looking at the NCAA to avoid having to serve a doping suspension that runs through Fall 2019 (or through this October if the appeal successfully got it reduced). The NCAA has cleared foreign players when they shouldn't have in the past (either because of their natural capriciousness or their inability to actually get a hold of all the facts) but that doesn't make it right and this situation is far above and beyond what we've seen lately. She shouldn't be allowed to play NCAA, but I have little faith they'll come through.

Anything to make this young lady's life miserable, right? Some of you are the reason I spend so little time here, and NO time on the comparable College Softball site. I initially joined to enjoy the 2 college sports I love so much, while some, I'm convinced, only belong to take as many jabs at as many as they can. I worked with another DI VB program for about 7 years, the coach (who is a great friend now) went after, by having me create listings of all D-1 programs that had foreign players. This was about 10-12 years ago. The #s surprised us all. Coach was certain they all were technically pros so should not be allowed to play here. Bottom line - NCAA resolved this (as did Olympic comm. many years ago), and now we see these young ladies on many teams. For most, playing for pay in their country was the only way they could continue their passion. So some started to come here, hoping to play. They now do, are accepted, and should not suffer the slings and arrows of pissed off "fans". As to the drug situation, IF she is forgiven or determined innocent by the NCAA, do you really still insist she shouldn't be allowed to play? Are you going to make sure, if/when she becomes a member of our team, that she is not welcome? If so, I'd suggest you not show at Huff. These are young ladies that just want to play the game - either support our entire team, or I might suggest you turn to a program that better suits your sensibilities. Just saying...

If the NCAA allows her to play, then I'll glady support her as a member of the team.

Way too many posters on here want to make the rules for everybody as if they have any level of authority on the matter. That's why the NCAA clearinghouse exists.

I doubt Coach Tamas would allow her on campus and to be practicing with the team if she wasn't going to be cleared. --- let's put it to rest. Now how about a MB recruit?

If she just plays at Illinois until her Steroid Suspension is over, and then goes back to her pro team in Europe, at least she’ll be able to help Jordyn try for a final four!
