Hard to imagine that in a 10 page thread no one has mentioned my most cringe-inducing phrase: X "is the read deal." "The real deal" was mentioned back on page 7, in fact. If you are talking about "the read deal," though, I'd love to hear about volleyball players who are good readers. While I admit I have eye issues, in going back to page 7, I did not seen the mention of "the real deal [my autocorrect keeps changing that to "read deal"]. Please post the page 7 post you mentioned, including the "last edit" information.

Slang acronyms, in general.

"Tit in a wringer."
"Dees Nutz"
"Shake dat booty."
"Father's got the ship fitter blues."
"I say, old sport."
"A fox smells his own hole."
"What in the wide, wide world of sports is goin' on?"
"I don't know much about this, but..."
"I don't know much about this butt."
"Tally Ho."
"Hoosier daddy?"
"You ever see a naked man, Timmy?"
"Knockers."
"Timeout here, Karch?"

The statement makes a powerful argument for the death penalty.

It's Hoosierman, on Dec 30 at 6:43 pm "the real deal" "passes nails" From the beach: After living in California for awhile, it absolutely GRATED on me how beach players say "pokey," or seemingly always add a pointless "-y" suffix. "Oppo" for opposite. Just say opposite. Read more: volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/72122/words-never-typed-again-vt?page=11#ixzz53Fivp5Z2

"Oppo" for opposite. Just say opposite. Anything wrong with "Right"? That's not me, objecting to "oppo." I was quoting Hoosierman at Publius' request.

"Ball don't lie." I know it's usually spoken and not posted, but I thought it deserved a mention. So stupid and annoying. Sorry if it's been posted. Watching the SEC Natl Championship Football Game, so I am a little distracted.

"This" is in the dictionary. Volleyball and IQ are, but not together, so you you're stuck with "this".
