"I'm locking the thread" in response to a topic with actual backing and important enough for those with DD's to know about. People were hesitant to throw anyone under the bus, but there is a heck of a lot more than an abnormal amount of injuries going on at Wisconsin. If you don't like the moderation on this board, you're free to use another one.

"would of" in place of "would have". I understand their/there, but of/have don't even sound at all alike. How can that mixup happen? ?? "Would of" and "would've" sound a lot alike to me...

"gonna" vs. "going to"
I confess that I've used "gonna" a lot, but it's due to laziness. It ends right here.

Where did the expression "use to" come from? I use to. Or I used to? Never understood that one.

Because I will. Stop it. This is unethical.

Coach Rick Butler... just Rick Butler is OK, but not Coach Rick Butler.

Coach Rick Butler... just Rick Butler is OK, but not Coach Rick Butler. Or just "Rick Butler" for Chrissakes. The fact is he still coaches whether you or anyone else likes it or not. Itd be funny if admin replaced that name with something else so when you'd type "Rick Butler" something funny would replace it. In addition it would protect this entity (this forum) against any potential libel and slander lawsuits that could come up in the future. If done correctly it'd be kind of funny. I once was was on a forum that replaced the word EVOO (extra virgin olive oil, coined by Rachel Ray I think) to say something funny. When you would read a recipe that someone wrote EVOO as an ingredient it would say something kind of ridiculous. Can't remember what it actually was, sort of a minor game of Mad Libs.

We already went through that with Destinee Hooker and it wasn't pretty.

In fact, I'm not aware of any others: volleyball yes, a specific team/conference yes, college sports yes, but even then volleyball is usually relegated to a dead sub-forum or mentioned in passing. I think volleytalk might actually be the only active college volleyball forum on the internet (and it's a sad reflection on the popularity of the sport).

How could this forum be liable for slander or libel?
