ahhhh.... looks like she played there as a 16 and 17 year old but not as an 18. She, along with 100,000 other high school kids aren't listed as committed on Prep Volleyball. That's all I've got. Really? She's listed on their site as playing for their 18s. mintonettesports.com/teams/2017-18_early_commitsShe is not on either of their rosters for 18's

Gotcha.
Yeah, it looks like her sister had some serious academic issues.
No Bueno.

Wow, it gets even stranger.
She has another older sister that played for some college in HI, and a younger sister who had apparently committed to Michigan before her sophomore year of HS.

First qualifier just around the corner. One preseason top-5 team in the mix and a handful of top-50s. Two bids up for grabs.

Doesn't look like the seeders thought much of Mn Select, they have them seeded 3rd in pool 5 behind Michio Chicago and Circle City. This should easily be the toughest pool to get out of. Pool 4 is quite weak, Sting probably has the easiest pool to get out of and is seeded #1. Caitie Baird, Jael Johnson, Amiya Jones and Julia Wohlert across the front row will make Circle City a tough matchup. I think Mn Select and CC get out of day 1 1st and 2nd, no prediction on the order though.

There's also a qualifier in KC this weekend. Only 12 teams for two bids, but two in the Top 10 and 7 more in the Top 60 should make for some competitive matches. I feel like technology should be getting close to us being able to stream some of these matches, right?

Mn Select is out of the running, they go 1-2 with Circle city going 3-0, Sting and Rage also went 3-0 (In Chicago) In KC at the MLK qualifier HPSTL is the only team to go 3-0 on the first day, KC power had the highest point ratio but lost to Northern lights in 3 sets. Both teams went 2-1 in their pool.

With a weak point ratio per set only the pass percentage in the 2.33 range could achieve gold bracket status ... unless, of course, the setting to block ratio is somewhere in the 79-3 range ... I've seen it, but not often.

MLK Qualifier: Northern Lights, KC Power, NORCO, and HPSTL are the final four teams for tomorrows 4 team pool play final. 3 of the 4 had to go to a 3rd set to win in the challenge round with HPSTL beating Athena 16-14 in the 3rd.

Isn’t Baird playing up on 18’s this year for Circle City?
