Horin really looks a lot different dressed up. And Crouch is bow-legged ... who knew?

Any concerns that Crouch is towering over Horin? I'm too busy looking at Crouch to be worrying about Horin's height

I’m still here drowning in depression that we were 1 point from taking out the #2 overall seed on their home floor just a year ago, only to watch this season of not being able to take a set off of San Diego at Galen this year.
I was naive (most college freshmen are) but man the SC administration has proved incompetent across the board in various departments, but athletics has to be close to the top.
USC’s storied football program did not make a bowl game and even worst lost to also bowl-ineligible UCLA. But they don’t can their coach ...
I re-watched both matches last night. (USC vs. Florida 2017 and 2018 USC vs. San Diego). One team inspired, and the other not so much. The team with the better chemistry was coached by the one that USC to chose to can. But more importantly, I paid a lot of attention to defensive alignments, serving targets, and adjustments during the match. This is where Mick was just so damn good. I didn’t see any of that from Crouch in the match vs. San Diego. Actually, the two setters that Crouch benched this year in favor for Lazaro, actually set really well in that match against Florida.
I know I’m a broken record, but its just so sad to me. 😞I’m hoping SC can find a way back out of this mess, and Mick gets some sort of justice. And Donna gets served what she deserves

I see Lazaro has talent but I don't really see her having good connections with Lanier. It's kind of sad that Lanier was a First Team All-American last season and was placed as an Honorable Mention this season. It's hard to compare Mick Haley's great coaching record to Crouch.

Hansen is gone? That makes 3 of 4 Haley recruits from 2017 gone. 3 of 5 2018 gone 3 of 5 2019 already gone. I think Stockham is the last Haley recruit. 9 of last 14 Haley recruits are gone. Only 5 left, with Humphreys iffy and Horin and Owes not on the team yet. USC Vball is still on her Instagram. Are you hypothesizing or stating facts? Thanks

maybe stating a hypothesis? I was hypothesizing about facts. Thanks. I was just curious. I didn’t cross-reference the transfer list.

Thanks. I was just curious. I didn’t cross-reference the transfer list. That's the only place I have seen it. I don't know how it got there. I was surprised nobody had mentioned it here. i didn’t realize it was in there either. It is accurate

Any insight on the one still to be determined? Any good? Also, how many of the 14 recruits would Haley have passed on later because they just did not develop that way he thought they would when in recruited them at 16?

Mick Haley-almost makes it to the final four, gets fired
Crouch-SWEPT in the second round with (IMO) a more talented team on paper than the one that almost made it to the final four
Oof would not be excited

Wilhite) For 2018, Brown wasn’t admitted, Secrist quit volleyball altogether, Hansen might/will leave, and Schirmer and Humphreys are still there, for now. Rohrer decommitted long before Crouch. But Crouch had to do something - with 6 recruits for 2019 there was a huge logjam of scholarships. Overall, Lazaro is likely better than either Fitzner and Humphreys. Gross and Baptista were proven vs. some maybes. Is Duff going to be stronger than Hansen and McCaa?

4/6 2019 are gone (Baum, Fitzner, McCaa, P. Wilhite) I didn't know about Baum. Horin is now the only true middle in 5 classes. Wilhite left from 2017. Hansen left from 2018. McCaa left from 2019. No MB in 2020. 1 listed MB from 2021 (so far), but she is 6'0" and undoubtedly will not play MB. I know transfers and recruits are different, but we did get Gross (2016) and Duff (2018, with 4 years of eligibility left).
