I just heard from a prominent Southern California coach that USC lost out on two huge transfers with the coaching hire. Is it going to affect the kids who are already committed and the ones they had lined up for 2020?

When you go from a Hall of Famer to having to google your new HC - you may lose out on a few kids.

Yes. She and Sun are transferring to Portland to play together for Mick. I would not be surprised to see both of them leave their respective places of play.

Darkness hits the program............the MICK HALEY EFFECT. I like to think of it as the Jim Harbaugh effect. He took the 49ers to three straight NFC championship games, including one super bowl, but they fired him because of tiffs with the front office. They've been god awful since then.

The Athletic Administration at USC is about to be really surprised..................you mean players like to play for a HALL OF FAME coach?

It's a rare snow day here in SC. This is perfect. Not here in Charleston - we had plenty of days off earlier this month, though!

She is no longer listed on richkern, but is still listed on her club page as USC. Has there been any word on USC filling out the staff? Coach Crouch isn't on campus yet full-time. But I would imagine staffing is already in progress.

Coach Crouch isn't on campus yet full-time. But I would imagine staffing is already in progress. It was reported earlier that a job posting for AC was published before Crouch was announced (an indication that they had hired their HC). I would imagine they will want the staff in place, in sync and ready to recruit no later than for the big Presidents Day tourneys 1 month from now. Somebody said Crouch was in Phoenix watching Owes last weekend. I would think that Horin will be their highest rated recruit. How high is Owes? How about the other 3? I have no doubt a staff will be in place by President's Day. The postings are an HR formality that have to happen. Coach Crouch was busy this weekend. He got to tournaments in Phoenix, NorCal, and SoCal. The 2019 recruits will probably be one of the top overall classes in the country in that year.
