Great to see UH getting a first-team all-American again in Kylie, but UCLA dominated the first team picks and FSU the second team picks!

I’ve heard maybe two transfers and a possible European player. Yeah, that's what I'm hearing too. She is supposedly retiring from volleyball altogether though to focus on life goals. The cupboard is starting to look increasingly bare! Returning Starters: 1. Morgan Martin 2. Amy Ozee 3. Ari Homayun 4. Paige Dreews Others possibly in top flights? 5. One other impact player likely to play next season (still waiting on the official news) - we need this player! 6. Huddleston (and she was considering retiring but am fairly sure she is coming back now) 7. Julia Scoles (sounds like she is getting her beach on and should have no problem cracking the starting lineup) 8. Presley Forbes 9. Pani Napoleon 10. Kylin Loker 11. Regan Hurkett 12 Ashley Stevens 13. Jenna Banz Not sure where Hurkett and Loker will play out but we need some "bigs" to step up. Would really like to see a couple of good senior/graduate transfers for at least one season, then recruiting is looking decent (should no one change their commitment). I just don't see us being on UCLA or even USC's level this year...Cal Poly in the Big West is going to be a tall order. And didn't Martin get a shoulder surgery this summer? I hope she can get back to form come Spring. From the Czech Republic?

I like the top flights cluster of: Morgan Martin, Kylin Loker, Amy Ozee, Ari Homayan, Kristen Abels, and Julia Scoles.

I think though that Huddleston and Dreeuws will be in those top flights too!

Some one will still transfer after this indoor vb season. The Pitt setter comes to mind, perhaps. Hawaii has the call of the beaches for early U.S. grads. Ahuna may not be a graduate but she was AVCA POW.

Casey Castillo could play beach. I don’t think she will have a future as an indoor players so maybe trying beach could be in her future. She have the size that Jeff Hall needs and she was splitting time between indoor and beach prior to Robyn coming aboard.
Casey never redshirted so it looks like she will have two years of beach available to her. This year after indoor season and next year(if she chooses that route).

The real gem would be Iosia but I don't think RAM-S would allow such a transaction. I'm not too much in to Gaskins at this point either; she's green. Napolean - Drueers (sp?) is doable imo. Napolean seems like a natural transition from her 2018 partner, the graduated Spokane native.

The LITTLE 5'4 Forbes is so tiny, even by Spieler standards. In my own curiosities I wonder what she could do as an indoor libero.

I'm always surprised that some indoor players whose game I thought would translate well on the beach are either not pursuing beach or are not that good on the beach. Some names come to mind:
Kalei Greeley McKenna Granato Emily Hartong McKenna Ross Norene Iosia (she played one season and then quit)
And then there are others who are really good on the beach even though you think they shouldn't be that good:
Emily Maglio Nikki Taylor

Iosia was good. She was asked to concentrate on indoor. I’m surprised Cayley Thurlby didn’t make more of an effort to pursue beach as a career.

Imo this 2019 will prove Hall's worth in gold. Dunno.

Hoping Lisa Ma’a is a prophet and Maglio returns for one more year.

Maglio, Martin, Loker, Ozee, Scoles, Homayun, Huddleston, Dreeuws, Ables, Napolean...could be a pretty good team along with Hurkett, Forbes, Banz, Stevens, Misraje, Russo...
I'm still curious to know if there are any transfers coming in? At least one more quality player would be nice!
There was some talk of a couple of indoor girls potentially crossing over. I could see Castillo playing, but I am not sure if she would contribute over one of the other "bigs"? She didn't crack the top 5 flights her two previous seasons with the beach team, but potentially she has two years left to play and she has improved indoors, so you never know?
Iosia would be a great asset (if she were "allowed" to play). Unfortunately, I doubt she plays this season. : ( You never know though.

Is there any particular reason why you often forget to include Arden Misraje? I'd for a minute thought about Alohi R-Hardy but her twitter feed has suggested a pro signing w Zok Spartak (Serbia). Tiyana Hallums would be a definite go. I could see someone from the indoor team, possibly Granato. She'd do well in the sand w less pressure upon her. Ahuna's knee at UCR is how bad off? She acknowledged my tweet, lol, but didn't go into details.
