As ay2013 indicated, Ndiaye's profile on the TAV roster now says "Uncommitted" while others like Annabelle, Madison and Leilah have their collegiate verbal commitments noted. www.ascvb.com/roster_players/26765383?subseason=541130When a player decommits this late in the process, it typically (not always) means that her other option(s) have told her they have a scholarship for her. Old school that would be the sleazy approach. Nobody should be talking to her at all to tell her anything until she has informed the coach at the original commit and then made her decommit public. With the new rules, the whole concept of respecting verbal commits may be out the window. A lot of decomittmenmts aren’t really public until the player commits to the new school. They always have some cheesy caption like “things change, but I’m so excited for my journey ahead at ***********”

I have a feeling she might be considering Nebraska... she’s good friends with Kennedi. Realistically I hope she comes to Texas!

Parra and Williams are surely both on full rides... Texas loses white whos on full scholarship and ogbaji might be because of the hype she had in hs, even tho she isn’t playing. I would just find it weird if Texas had an entire extra scholarship sitting around for 2020 but who knows

But, not all players are on scholarship all 4 years.
Orie Agbaji will be a senior this coming season; so, she doesn't affect the 2020 numbers.
Most of us are assuming Melanie Parra will be part of the 2020 class, although she is young for that class.
Assuming no attrition, it comes down to if all 3 setters (Shook, Gabriel and Cabello) are on scholarship come 2020.
2020 scholarship players (speculation, of course):
Ashley Shook
Brionne Butler Sydney Petersen Logan Eggleston Jhenna Gabriel*
Asjia O'Neal Molly Phillips Skylar Fields
Nalani Iosia Naomi Cabello Madison Williams Melanie Parra*

With the new rules, the whole concept of respecting verbal commits may be out the window. I have no idea what you are talking about. For the record, a "verbal commitment" is not recognized by the NCAA. So, until a recruit signs an LOI, anyone can talk to them. And, a recruit is not obligated to make their verbal commitment or decommitment "public". No idea? bleh. Be careful coaches and boosters.... "Causal Sequence" has many ripples and tentacles, and some of those tentacles can be nasty whips. Best of luck to this girl. ***** On a another note, I sure do like what former PSU players like Washington, Courtney, Hancock, Lee, McClendon, Glass, Fawcett, Hodge, Wilson, Gonzalez, Carpenter, Whitney, Frantti..... have been able to do in their professional playing and/or coaching careers. They seem so prepared and confident for any obstacles in their paths.

I was only stating ogbajis scholarship and whites because I was trying to figure out how many scholarships would be available come 2020 season. If 2 fulls are leaving, and 2 fulls are coming in the next year, I don’t think their is room for another full ride 2020, I don’t think ndiaye will go somewhere or hour a full ride condering her talent

She was on scholarship; after that, we have not added any new players. So, either her scholarship is available for the future (perhaps it went to Parra), or it might have been awarded to someone on the current roster (like Gabriel). In the end, the numbers tend to work out more often than not.

Texas has had 2 Olympian’s in the last 2 olympics ? Adams and hooker, can’t think of anyone else. Psu had harmotto and glass both in 2016. Thatsbonly the recent 2 Olympic s tho and I still could be wrong.

I really can't speak to UT in that area of the later but PSU has a pretty long list of coaches. The recent trend of PSU players in the mix is pretty impressive. Certainly that can be said of great programs like Minn, Nebraska, Wisc, and some terrific prospects from Purdue and Illinois. UT Olympians Rachel Adams Destinee Hooker Demetria Sance * Alternate
Current Pipeline - Chiaka Ogubu
PSU Olympians
Salima Davidson * Alternate Alisha Glass Christa Harmotto Megan Hodge Nichole Fawcett * Alternate 2012 and 2016
Current Pipeline Micha Hancock Megan Courtney Simone Lee Haleigh Washington

Maybe the number of Olympian’s a school has doesn’t factor into the school selection process for everyone? Maybe weather, culture, selected major and coaching style (as examples) matter more. Coaches change their mind before signing day, so can the players. The verbal process works great for players and coaches.
