What I look for is a song that I don't really get tired of hearing. That's a tall order. John Prine has a million of them. So does ABBA, dammit. Talking Heads. A song that makes you feel good. What more can you ask for? Other than $200 extra in your paycheck. Pete Townsend once said that ABBA's SOS was one of the best pop song ever written and that it "transported" him when he first heard it. Lots of people are closet ABBA fans.
