Have tripods not been invented in your world? Always see them planted at ends of courts, often those bendy ones that latch onto rails. Not to mention they know most of these guys and could easily ask someone to hit "Go live", no excuses for team built on building their brand. I knew what you were saying. My post came off rather serious but I was being rhetorically fecetious. So, what's a tripod?

Skylar is a good player but yea when things dont go his way or he gets frustrated he just quits and doesnt fight for anything. They lose a point that he doesnt like and then all of a sudden they lose the next 2 also. Funny how many teams share that affliction. I was watching that match and thinking about how deep the qualifiers are, but it occurred to me that of all the - sort of - up and comers in the qualifiers, there really isnt anyone I see as a long term main draw guy. I see a lot of guys who can round out an event and make early rounds interesting but I dont see anyone in the qualifiers who I could imagine winning a full field event in the future. If I had to guess of all these guys who has the best next 5 years, I would probably take Piotr, who is a solid player, but he isn't exactly Sean Rooney in terms of potential.

Let's just hope this isn't a situation like it is currently where all these teams are main draw teams simply by default. There is going to be a big turnover over the next 5 years of the old guys moving out and it will be interesting to see who steps up in their place.

If that's how Del Sol's match went, that's pathetic, travel across country, spending cash, give up versus fight tooth & nail? No wonder he lasted one tourney with Trevor, shame because he has plenty of talent, as I've said, straight killer jumper & buttery hands.

Really tough loss for Chase/Sean. Chase played better and Sean was phenomenal. They still give up points on awkward plays, but Chase's block was good and Sean was fantastic on defense. At a minimum they should get their first win against Mark/Ian

Crazy first match. 7 foot faults on Reid/Jeremy and they blow a big third set lead only to come from down 11-9 and win 15-13. Chase looked much better blocking and offensively. Also made some really athletic plays on chase downs.

I’m glad they were calling casebeer on foot faults. He’s egregious about that.

This Prime coverage of Casey v Chase/Avery third set is scintillating yet lacking in the visual department.

Wow Casey and Stafford already in the contenders bracket.

Wow Casey and Stafford already in the contenders bracket. Big win for Avery/Chase who haven't had best results after winning that smaller FIVB in Australia.
