Seriously guys, give Hooker a rest. We are getting back Lowe, isn't that something to cheer about? Instead, some of you are still on the Hooker issue?! Hooker ain't coming back, deal with it. Destinee Hooker is head over heels better than Karsta Lowe. That is why we are not happy. And the coaching staff has made it clear that the team is worse with her than without.

Well, that's an interesting spin on things. I think a lot of people on this board are stuck in 2010... wake up call it's 2018. I did not follow the Brazilian league this year, but everything I read stated that Destinee Hooker had a very average year. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I think people slandering the National Team Staff with undertones that they don't support rehabilitated domestic abuse survivors should be worthy of having an Administrator lock the thread. That kind of undertone is unacceptable and this is coming from someone who is a tremendous advocate of feminism and women empowerment. I'm glad, as I'm sure others are that she is no longer in that awful situation. However, everything I had read indicated that she broke team rules and did not exhibit team centric behavior. Could the aforementioned be CORRELATED to her behavior at work? Absolutely, but to pin it on that is undeserving. You are either familiar with the facts, or you aren't. Speculating about what Destinee Hooker did or did not do is no different than others speculating about what the National Team Staff did.

I love Karsta. And I wasn't talking about Hooker in particular. Please read before you go firing off at the mouth. Thank you! Sure you are....you just mentioned Hooker in your earlier post for no reason... Show me that earlier post I mentioned Hooker!

She's still putting up numbers and can kill out of system balls while in Minas.

They haven't won Olympic gold with the best players. Hooker and Tom played in London in 2012. We didn't win gold. He didn't say the US won gold, he said that we will never win without the best players. Now, after the 2012 Summer Games everyone believed that the U.S. could win with that line-up in 2016 with a little tweak in the middle with Akinraddewo and Harmotto. But Karch left out Tom, Bown retired, and didn't even bother with Hooker. So we were left with mediocre pin-hitters, and the bulk was left for the middles especially (Akinradewo) to carry. We didn't win with what was considered our best players, so maybe a change was due.

I guess we can only look forward to the new up-and-coming talent and hopefully they can do a lot better!

Karsta is the most attractive option at opposite right now. This is a Karsta thread, isn't it? I'm a Karsta fan. And I have outside information too.

A National Team is not created with the best 12-14 players in the country...A national team is composed with 12-14 players that together will create the best team.
Volleyball is a team sport.... Individual performances does not count in the end...Team performance does.

Individual performances does not count in the end...Team performance does. Read more: volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/73987/karsta-lowe?page=7#ixzz5IkiOONaTWhat a back handed swipe at Hooker. She has shown in her last three active seasons, Korea and 2 in Brazil, that she is a terrific teammate, fan favorite, and talented. Last year she was Brazil's 1st team all-league at OP. You may not like her for various reasons but please put that 8 year old saw to bed that she is a bad team mate because it is just no longer true. Anyone who even took a side-eyed look to this situation knows that at this point it's an obsession with Karch which I think leaves him and his legacy very vulnerable to a racism canard if brought forward publicly by the right people and organization. We've already have seen what the #metoo bandwagon can do.
