Did she fake the injury to make the flight... can't imagine they could've won AVP SanFran and still make the CQ in Gstad. Oh...Good point...Absolutely will not make the CQ tomorrow if they don’t forfeit. 😂😂😂 We shall find out tomorrow! There hasn’t been any updates on Kelley or Emily. Although why would they said there’s an injury if they just needed t catch the flight? Last year, Ryan Doherty just said he needed to catch the flight and had to leave Seattle early. No one’s going to blame you. You gotta do what you gotta do!

Tamz, Em Day mentioned during the AVP broadcast that she's going to be the full time defender with Lauren during the tourney.

I see Larsen/Stockman, Dowdy/Pollock and Hoch/Claes in the CQ? Kelly and Brit? Haven't they been the most successful US team on the FIVB this year, how are they in the CQ while Lauren/Em are in the MD
Somehow Lauren, for years, has been piling up points despite having one top 4 finish in the last six years and finishing 17th or lower 24 times. If I were USAVolleyball, I would appoint Lauren to a special position teaching young players how to game the FIVB points system

If I were USAVolleyball, I would appoint Lauren to a special position teaching young players how to game the FIVB points system They must set these main draws well in advance based on points at the time. Claes/Hochevar have a 4th and a 5th in their last two events, but somehow the ATeam is still the top US team for Gstaad. And you'd think three straight 9ths would be enough to drop Pavan/MHP from the #1 seed. Guess they go way back also, and that's how Lauren got her points. Seems to me it would be more fair to re-rank and re-seed after each event, effective for the very next event.

They did the seeding 3 weeks prior to the event so points from the last three events didn’t count for Gstaad seeding.
Brit and Claes dropped to CQ because KWJ and NB got the wildcard.

AVP points are best 4 in a year, FIVB best 5, right?

AVP points are best 4 in a year, FIVB best 5, right? FIVB: best 4 of last 6 tournaments. MD and Q is set 21 days in advance. Seeding at the tournament itself is then based on points in the current week
