Larsen and Stockman win Set 2 24-22. Kelly and Brit Hochevar are done for Gstaad. wow. Makes that injury seem even more suspicious. Plus they had to beat Dowdy/Pollack first. Not sure the AVP should allow teams to bail mid-tourney. Seems like a significant competitive advantage for teams to get an extra bye.

Wow is right! They have truly been on a rollercoaster ride of inconsistency. It'll be kinda nuts if KWJ ends up not playing (as donnyw seems to be alluding too). If that’s the case, I don’t know what Nicole is doing there. True. Didn’t even think of that.

I alluded to it in another thread... but no way do they make this CQ and play AVP on Sunday but it's their prerogative.

I know it’s happened before, but in my view it’s unfair to the other teams and makes a mockery of the tournament. Just give that extra MD spot to the highest ranked qualifier.

When there is only a few Avp events to play each year I think it’s a smart move. Win a little money and earn points. Win win in my book. What was they suppose to do mis the entire event? Why no. Maybe they felt bad for leaving so lied about why they left. Lol

Regarding Nicole, aren’t we just waiting to have an announcement regarding her partner being injured? Then she picks up whom ever as a sub and plays. That was Brits problem last year , no?

They probably felt like they were doing the AVP a small favor by forfeiting when they did so there would still be a full schedule on games on Sunday (ie Semi's and Finals). Nothing to stop them from beating Klineman and Ross and then just not showing on Sunday, giving the AVP one Women's Semi's.

I know players have been doing this for years, but it's still bush league. It cheapened the AVP event by giving Klineman/Ross and Flint/Day free passes to the semi's. Also, don't lie about the reason, everyone from Donald Sun down to the ballboys knew why you packed up and left.
If Gstaad is that important, why not go over a week early and play Espinho for more money and a depleted field?

I think Larsen/Stockman split $5200 in SF and while Britt/Claes split $3000 in Espinho.. and they won't be getting anything in Gstaad, but then again no guarantee yet for Larsen/Stockman. Game within the Game... Wonder if they signed up for the Euro trip after that 2nd in Xiamen.

I thought someone posted an IG story yesterday with Kerri, Nicole, and Brit. If she’s not playing why is she still there? Maybe she’s just skipping practice to save her shoulder for competition.

Also, probably got their trip paid for by USAV, maybe wouldn't have flying over for the CQ.
