So Pepperdine has a decent shot of still making the tournament. LMU is out. The Pepperdine vs San Diego matchup on Tuesday should be a good one, with both teams really wanting the win to solidify their tournament spot. Unfortunately, since it will be played at the Wooden Center, there will not be any live stream, but hopefully the live stats will work. Please publius, don't put it in the PTW. bigfan. I think there are more questions than answers so far at SCU.

After BYU, who's in? Can the WCC get 4 in (St. Mary's, USD and Pepperdine)? Is the USD / Pepperdine a play in match?

swatson91 , Trojansc thinks all 4 can get in. Important matchups this week, particularly between USD and Pepperdine, but trojansc sees USD likely getting a bid even if they lose, though obviously they wouldn't want to roll that dice. This would be the first year since 2012 that either Saint Mary's or Pepperdine has gotten back to the dance, so I would love to see all four schools there. **Unnoticed during all the games going on, RJP was selected to the CoSida All-Academic First Team, and 3 other WCC players were named to the second team. A great achievement for these players who put so much time in on the court and then also put in the time and effort to excel in the classroom. Congratulations to them. Four Volleyball Student-Athletes Earn Academic Honors Women's Volleyball 11/15/2018 2:54:45 PM Three Cougars and a Wave named to District 8 All-Academic Team GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four West Coast Conference student-athletes earned spots on Google Cloud Academic All-District 8 teams as announced Thursday. Three members of the No. 1 BYU women’s volleyball team earned a spot, headlined by first team selection All-American Roni Jones-Perry, while Pepperdine also claimed a spot on the second team. Senior outside hitter Roni Jones-Perry was named to the Region 8 First Team while senior setter Lyndie Haddock-Eppich and junior libero Mary Lake were selected for the region’s second team. Joining the two Cougars on second team was senior Hannah Frohling of Pepperdine. BYU’s three honorees tied for the most of any team in the country and are the most in a single season in program history. Jones-Perry, an exercise science major, is a national player of the year candidate this season after earning AVCA All-America recognition last year. The senior is No. 9 in points per set and No. 15 in kills per set nationally. As a first-team recipient, Jones-Perry is now a nominee for Academic All-America announced early next month. Haddock-Eppich is a public health major who is No. 23 in the country in assists per set. She ranks No. 3 on the rally era and No. 7 on the all-time BYU career assists list. Lake, an accounting major, excels in one of the most rigorous and highly ranked accounting programs in the nation. The junior ranks first in career digs per set and second in total digs in the BYU rally era career record books. Frohling posted a 3.95 GPA in her final indoor season in Malibu and has lifted the Waves to its best season since 2011. The only undefeated team in the nation, the Cougars are entering their 10th week ranked No. 1 in the nation and can claim the West Coast Conference title outright with one more conference win in their last three matches.

San Francisco/UOP game had to be moved to San Francisco because of UOP campus being closed due to poor air quality.

Santa Clara #29 Tatiana San Juan (L/DS) We didn’t have senior night in the 70’s, but I remember the emptiness after my last match. It was a loss for 3rd place at the National Championships. Us seniors did a group hug and cried. 4 of us have kept in close contact. Unfortunately, our last reunion was at our teammates funeral 4 years ago. Volleyball has been good to me. I often wonder what my life would had been like if I hadn’t seen the ad for tryouts in the school paper. And so glad I had the courage (or stupidity) to try out. My only experience was 9 man church ball 😀. But, I digress. GO COUGARS!!!!! I’m kinda worried about this LMU match.

LMU can still make the tournament. They’ll have to do what nobody else has been able to do this season: beat BYU.
