Pepperdine is up either 7-3 or 6-4 in the fifth set, depending on the stream or the stats. Seem to be pulling themselves together again after a 20-25 fourth set loss.
Pepp up 8-3 at the side switch.

Really nice start to the tournament for the WCC teams.
Pepperdine beat UNI in the first round (5 sets).
LMU easily swept Duke in the first round.
BYU slaughtered poor Stony Brook in the first round.
San Diego beat Cal Poly 3-1 in the first round (with CP's star Opp TVW out due to injury)
Only Saint Mary's lost in the first round to Washington, but they were very competitive, and the match went to four sets.
Proud of all the WCC teams. LMU and San Diego, being picked as the last two teams into the at-large field, proved they deserved a spot.

Pepperdine took Wisconsin to 4 sets in the second round, but lost. Still, a wonderful season for them, especially in light of the adversity the team has suffered in the past 3 weeks. Congrats, Waves, on a job well done.

I just saw that Portland beat Utah Valley in the NIVB tournament in 5 sets with a total score of something like 226 points. Must have been quite the epic battle. (25-19, 16-25, 29-27, 27-29, 19-17)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WCC Volleyball And Katie Lukes makes the future look bright for USD And Really, the most impressive thing about USD is you don’t know who is going to carry the load from night tonight And Of the past three seasons, this is the season we make it to the Sweet 16??? And From here forward, I’m just going to patiently enjoy the season point to point and game to game,

Agree that SD will be good next year, but they will miss Picha, who has had one of the highest hitting percentages and blocks/set in the NCAA this season, and Edwards, who got to return to the lineup tonight.
WCC has had a great showing in the tournament so far. 4 of 5 teams advanced to the second round, and 2 teams advance to the Sweet 16.
BYU really crushed Utah tonight, and I was fearful of that match outcome. Thought Utah would be more of a challenge, but BYU was firing on all cylinders!! (This is a surprise!)
LMU gave it their best but just couldn’t get by that tall Stanford team, and were swept. But they put up a great fight.
Pepperdine lost in 4 at Wisconsin in the second round. No shame in that.
And now, San Diego, the second to last team into the tournament, has swept a USC team that had all of its players in the lineup. It’s a good time for USD to peak. Congrats, Toreros.
