It's a Spring match so Hawaii could leave Williams in all rotations as a middle, if they can't have another graduating Senior middle to join them. I thought about that. Yeah...I think Skyler would like that. Her serving was pretty good last season. Would like to see Skyler serve more. I agree. I was surprised by how good her serve was! I just hope she doesn’t get injured playing back row.

I just hope she doesn’t get injured playing back row. She would still only play front row. She would just play the role of both middles when she's in the front! (In essence being both the MB1 and MB2) Which is a heck of a lot of work.

Anyone see the USA Volleyball Women's Tryout roster? I'm surprised only Akiu is going.

Other than Norene, I don’t think UH really have anyone with a legit chance to make the team. Don’t even know if Granato have volleyball in her future or will decides to move on. This coming season will be Norene’s senior year and I think it’s much better for her to remain in Hawaii and try to make it her best year. I also wonder if Norene’s future is on the beach and not indoors.

I believe that is where her future would be in, Beach Volleyball.

But right now, indoors pays a lot more than beach. Most pro beach players also have a daytime job. That's why everyone chooses indoors first. (Maglio, for example) Hartong made her big money in South Korea first before going on the beach circuit now. That's likely what Norene will end up doing too, unless beach is really her passion.

It's hard to believe that, since 2000, some of the best Wahine moments were led by Jennifer Carey/Maragaret Vakasausau (2002), Kanoe Kamana'o (2003, 2004), Dani Mafua (2009), and Tayler Higgins (2015). Of course, we actually had legitimate hitters back then.

per Cindy, it looks like they’re looking to bring in another setter, but Hanawahine is the back up as of now. Also, not sure who is on the far right in this instagram photo: http://instagram.com/p/BueudBdhxwT

Kirsten looks to be in fantastic shape. Hope she finally live up to her potential and make her senior year special. Having her succeed at OPP will make this team hard to stop. Looking forward to the spring match to see where we stand right now.

Looks like we will have good coverage in the back row. Sometimes the “littles” or “smurfs” make historic plays...

Relax. Chris and Leahy used to refer to the DSs as the smurfs or the littles ... mostly during the Villaroman/Illustre years.
