add Jacksonville University to the list (the list mentioned Julie going to Miss State but not the job she vacated) this is crazy, Evan just got there 6 months ago! He's got (at least) 3 years... NEXT! NO NO NO add JU to the list of schools who made a change LAST YEAR

What do you expect? They lost like half their team to transf... oh ummm never mind. Th thread is about the "Hot Seat" When the most talented players transfer in MASSE there is a problem with the coach. Baptista said on social media that she left because they fired the AC that she liked, basically.

what's interesting...using the Rich Kern data (you SHOULD join, if you haven't), there is a definite downward trend in changes per year...I used Excel regression on the numbers, and if I start in 2000 or 2005, the result is the same. While there are years like last year, where the number spikes, overall the trend is downward.....which is NOT what I would expect.

Carlston.... Has to.... Just lost to Maryland! Their whole starting roster transferred.... Ugh How quickly to forget the Penn State win. Maryland isn't *that* bad. Ohio State had only a 53% chance of winning. Ohio State outscores Maryland. As for Carlston and Ohio State, they lost a major recruit for this year for reasons outside their control and have one of the best recruiting classes for next season. I think we figured this season was going to be a struggle in conference.

Who was the major recruit? Parker? Because the reasons she was lost was totally in Carlston's control.

Can we put Kansas State on there ? Good Greif. They just took Texas to 5 sets and 17-19 in the 5th two weeks ago. Take a pair from Hawaii to start the season. Wins over Oregon State and Western Kentucky. What exactly were/are the expectations?

Don’t get your underwear all wadded up.

I'm going to throw this one out even though I don't think he is really on the hot seat, more maybe the luke-warm seat... Joe Sagula at UNC.
He went from a top 5/6 recruiting class in 2016 and one of the best seasons in school history to losing nearly every one of those recruits to transfer/medical/quitting after the 2017 season, to losing his entire staff to Tennessee (and Eve was thought to be the natural successor to Joe), to having 7 freshman and 3 transfers this year, and working on the second straight season of .500 or less volleyball after 7 straight seasons of 20+ wins.
Joe has been there 28 years so he probably writes his own ticket and has plenty of rope to work with. However, another season or two trending in this direction may lead to a discussion needing to be had.

I don't know if SF is on a hot seat, but they should be winning more than they are, imo.
