They have to slow down Randy Johnson’s daughter, serve tough, touch a lot more balls on the block and hope Jesus helps us. Have Faith in them! They'll be fine. You all have Olivia Thursday and we have Florence on Thursday too.

I predict that the first night will be taken by Oregon 3-1 and the second night (crosses finger) will be taken by Hawai'i 3-2.
Probably not gonna happen, but hey, we should have some hope people! Unlike those fans tonight who act like b*&@@ when Hawai'i is down 1 point.
Go Bows!

Lithium Just Jarshin They need to continue to gain more trust in everybody and like tonight compensate for those who have an off night Congrats Titahs of the Rainbow Wahine Cloth of Good Hope Mother Superior Ah-Mow Santos will guide you. Trust is the key Soooooooo Onolicious! Let's Go Bows! They have to slow down Randy Johnson’s daughter, serve tough, touch a lot more balls on the block and hope Jesus helps us. I'm more worried about Ron Stone's daughter. But they'll need to slow down quite a few players and keep them out of system. Serving tough will help.

Maybe those fans are more accustomed to a higher level of play from its team AND better opponents in these pre-season tourneys. They showed up, they paid, their butts are in the seats. They'll clap when the see something worthy of clapping. Have you seen anything REALLY worthy of applause? ... Keeping in mind what they are used to seeing. Be happy they have shelled out some cash and showed up to support. You can really be a tool. You show up to support your team then you should cheer your team on, I don’t care about them paying money I would rather give away free tickets to high school girls who would clap for the home team and would appreciate the HOME team no matter what. Key word home.. I also have seen things worth applause they are called kills, aces, blocks, digs and anytime we win. You probably one of those huh? Did you expect a national championship trophy to be handed out tonight? Your feelings hurt huh? You expect better play why can’t the fan base also expect he fan base to be better? It's a good thing you are not in control of the program. I guarantee you Hawaii athletics LOVES those quiet PAYING, SEASONTICKET holders who continue to support in the midst of what may play out as one of the worst years in Wahine history. I happen to be VERY LOUD when I'm at Wahine match, but I don't expect others to celebrate the same way I do. I applaud for good play, good WAHINE LEVEL play, which we really haven't seen since glimpses of it in 2016. I don't have any expectations of this team, nor last year's team. They overperformed their talent last year, they are playing at the level of their talent this year. Lastly, you talk all kinds of crap about the current players, trashing them repeatedly and at the same time calling out REAL FANS of the WAHINE program for not supporting the team, or not clapping loud enough for you ....then turn around and talk about how we expect too much. Sit down and pout in the corner like the petulant child you are.

Kookoo: take a hike. Full statistics on p47; 6th post from the bottom. Observations: strange match, even stranger 3rd set. When Gaskin got involved (with proper sets) she Rocked! Burns was VITALLY Important, as were Castillo (Much improved), Iosia and Liva. If one had told me, before the match, that Granato would have FOUR kills, 3 AEs, & hit .037? I'd have said UH was toast!

what does Hawaii need to do to stop Oregon or make the match competitive? A couple of things: 1) Limit unforced errors. They can’t give Oregon any free points 2) Get production from everybody not named McKenna Granato. Granato always shows up for big games, she’ll get her kills. 3) Serve tough. If Oregon is in system a lot Hawaii could be in for a long night. 4) Play with lots of positive energy and get the crowd involved. This could be a huge factor. 5) They need to get touches on the block. Oregon is obviously the favorite both nights but I trust that the Wahine will compete.

Are we even sure Oregon is going to be able to fly in with the hurricane?

My match prediction, expressed earlier in this thread, came through: UH 3-1. Originally, I was gonna type 3-2; and yet, I had ZERO confidence that IF they went to five sets, they would win.

Are we even sure Oregon is going to be able to fly in with the hurricane? Depends when Oregon is expected to arrive. They should be fine if they are flying in before Wednesday. The storm is not anticipated to affect the playing of the matches.

Are we even sure Oregon is going to be able to fly in with the hurricane? Oregon hasn’t started school yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are in town by Monday.
