There are so many things wrong with all of this. Enlighten me I can't get past the first sentence. Nobody on Team USA is slow or they're simply not on the roster.

also lol ironhammer liking anything that disagrees with me. It's cute hun! Try offering some original analysis for a change. I already made my point, but I would draw your attention to her attack approach. It is the least dynamic and slowest of anyone you mentioned, IMHO. I'll make clear. I'm not bashing her. She has developed into a very strong and dependable player. I just don't see many like her on the international stage.

I also don't have an issue with criticism of her and I thought your analysis was sound. It's pretty clear that you won't be on the USA NT at OH if you can't pass well enough. It doesn't matter how lethal of attacker you are (see: Hodge and Lee). Thus, when evaluating real NCAA NT options, which should really only be the pool of OHs that can pass well (I think this excludes, at this point in time although they are young, Lanier and Edmond), Foecke is the most terminal. I don't think it's fair to exclude her just because she has a slow approach. I think there are other successful players that had/have a slow approach (Haneef-Park is another player that comes to mind) AND all NCAA athletes have to make adjustments to international play - I think we should be hopeful that considering speed is Foecke's biggest weakness, she might be able to up her game when required (she doesn't really need to up her speed for NCAA play). Nonetheless, I agree with you. It's not a sure bet. Our standards for OHs are so high though, I don't think anyone is going to fit the bill coming straight out of NCAA play. We're looking for Jordan Larson and Logan Tom clones - they don't exist.

I'm excited about Foecke's potential. She needs greater shot variety and needs to take bigger rips. I like that she's low error but too often she's hitting at 75% speed hit into the block. Also we'll see if she can pass at the intl level.

All the Husker die-hards were touting her a POY candidate early on in the season, comparing her to Plummer, etc. & she didn’t even win Big-10 POY honors. She’s great in post-season, but get back to me when she’s that level for a whole season.

I had not heard that Nagaoka was injured. She would most definitely be a back up to Fabris.
