UW should feel right at "home", on Taraflex. Hopefully the crowd, though knowledgeable and respectful of good volleyball, will prevent that.

Major rebuild for Creighton next season. Yes, the face of the program Jaali Winters graduates, along with Kloth, but the setter and libero are back for one more year, and the talented freshmen got some experience this season. They won’t be seeded again, but Creighton will have the potential to extend their NCAA bid streak to eight. How does Lexi feel about that?

Major rebuild for Creighton next season. They return setter, libero, RS, and both MB's, and d/s. They need to replace the two best hitters in program history, as well as a good serving specialist. I think they'll still challenge Marquette for Big East supremacy and safely get into the NCAA tournament. I think that the two replacement OH's are good enough that Creighton may host again next season, but not as high as a 9th seed.

UW returns everybody but OH/DS Julye (both OHs, both MBs, Opp, S, L), plus adds a top MB/Opp recruit.

I think the huskies come out of this regional. Creighton could be playing with a lot of nerves. Creighton also isn’t a particularly strong blocking team. If huskies can steady out their passing and serve well I like our chances

Despite losing their last three matches to very good teams, the Huskies seem to be playing much better volleyball in November. I will be surprised if they don't sweep St. Mary's. Ticket demand was high especially with Univ of South Dakota being located near the Nebraska border 2 1/2 hours north of Omaha. I'm looking forward to watching all four teams play in person today. We should be in camera shot with our center 3rd row seats, so if anyone sees a nice looking lady who definitely looks like a libero who is with a tall gangly armed guy, I'm the tall gangly armed guy.

Had the pleasure of meeting Frosty a couple times. What a great human. BTW, your original post lists the UW match start time as 3:30 Eastern. But the all the other info I'm seeing says 1:30 Pacific.

St Mary's is no stranger to playing against Pac 12 opponents. This year's team has four seniors that have had substantial court time versus the likes of Stanford and Cal both during pre conference and spring matches. It appears that Washington has several freshman on the floor this year. I would not be surprised if this turns out to be a very competitive match.

The first match is usually the "good" one.

If huskies can steady out their passing and serve well I like our chances You are correct about the blocking, but I’m not sure why Creighton woud have nerves. Creighton hosted last season and played a tournament at home last weekend with the same format. They are led by seniors who have a ton of experience in big games.

Washington knows all to well that you can put the most experienced players on the court you can and still play like crap at home when a sweet 16 berth is on the line and other teams are putting on the pressure.
