It might be my fault. Huskies were up by five when I got the video feed working, and then SMC went on a big run to tie it.

Well, first set kind of a microcosm of UW's issues this season with serve receive and efficient termination. Bottom line: if UW can hold its own on serve receive, this should be a sweep.

Geeze, Crenshaw really cannot pass can she? Thats Bajema Bajema usually does not struggle this badly on receive, but tough going late in that set. (Crenshaw was used as backrow OH sub earlier and we might see her there if Bajema continues to struggle)

This commentary is not bad, much better than what I was expecting.

Saint Mary's outsides are both hitting negative, so that needs to turnaround.

She's essentially a freshman when it comes to serve-receive, having played middle her first year and then seeing only limited playing time last year.

I have been pleased with Hoffman’s transition to the college game. In terms of LS depth, it would be a plus for UW to go fishing for a transfer in 2020 rather than waiting on a 2021 recruit. Jury is out on Crenshaw’s ability to get and stay healthy and be the player her prep fresh and sophomore form would suggest. Perhaps Washington looks at Cole getting swings on the LS in the latter part of her career. The pickup of Endsley just cannot be highlighted enough. I don’t know how many other husky fans follow recruiting but you’d be hard pressed to find a better OH terminator in the 2020 class, period. Whether she can pass at the next level remains to be seen. If she can bring along Sam Francis for 2021 that would be sensational.

This is the image they went with for the background before the match starts on Fox Sports Go. This is worse than bad commentary lol. I mean seriously. Wow. Same image they used all year for all the Big East and Big XII matches. PbP is Donny Barnes. He’s decent. Does a lot of the Big East matches on the midwestern side of the conference. I don’t know much about the color commentator; I’ve heard her before and she’s not one of their best. The sideline reporter, John Fanta, works for the Big East and does basketball color and sideline reporting on Fox. While not primarily a volleyball guy, he usually is prepared and interesting. Ahhh so I'm late to the party! Never got far enough to see the image since I don't have Fox Sports in the cable package, but these NCAA games are free streaming so I'm just seeing it now. And didn't mean to imply the commentary is bad! Just saying that image is right up there with commentary when it IS bad. Have only been able to watch PAC-12 and B1G games this year and the SEC games on ESPN. All of which have had some terrible nights of commentary. Glad that Creighton has good ones!

Is Washington's serving that good (I know Bogomolova's is), or is SMC just completely failing on serve receive?
(Oh, I see it's been Knudsen who has gotten aced all 4 times, so they are just targeting her.)

(Oh, I see it's been Knudsen who has gotten aced all 4 times, so they are just targeting her.) Washington has always had a strong serving team. No where near the great serving of last year, but still effective.
