Wasn't Scoles really high? Like #5 or #6? Was just about to ask this Yes, but IMO I think Shaffmaster has room to grow and be around that or maybe slightly higher... I do think she ends up higher than current players which would be Cox at 19, Harrison at 21, and Howard around 31 I think. Austin would also be top 30 if in the US and qualified.

That’s some pretty good talent. Let’s hope it all coalesces

I know people gave a lot of credit to Eve for UNC's past recruiting, but it looks like they are surviving her departure just fine. Once they get the program reinvigorated that will be.....UNC has the talent but with new coaches last year was terrible due to having to build a new culture and run new systems. According to UNC's spring update, the rumors I heard of a fast offense in a 5-1 are coming to fruition. Not sure about the defensive schemes yet. I think Shaffmaster is definitely going to be a Top 10 recruit....then UNC also has Mitrovich coming in as one of the best setters in that class. Those are both new recruits with the staff. Mike has a lot of connections and Susan is establishing hers as well. Hopefully the high level recruits draws more in for UNC and other ACC schools. Right now, UNC brings in Austin, Howard (already enrolled), Harrison (redshirt) for their first year this fall, then they bring in Fisher, Merkler, and Reed who are all stellar recruits. Even I am still amazed that UNC probably just got it's highest recruit ever.... I think Mabrey has potential top 10 talent, the only thing working against her is that class is stupid deep. So many good players in 2021.

What’s the word on the street as to why the ACC is the “best” conference to play in? Serious question.

Dont think its the best conference in volleyball....but I think with the combination of strong academics and an upward trajectory in the sport of volleyball, it has become more appealing for these student athletes.

For a kid from the midwest, the ACC's pretty attractive. Most of the schools are strong academically. All the other sports are at a national championship level, just not volleyball or wrestling. The climate's better at most ACC schools. On top of that, there are two to three road matches that are driving ditsance: Notre Dame and Pitt if you're north and Louisville if you're in the southern part of the Midwest.
Also, if you want a school that's not a gigantic state school, the Big 10 really only has Northwestern (Purdue's a little different, but it's still a state school with 43k students)

Anyone know how they did yesterday? Right?! It’s sad that you have to dig around or actually be present to see/hear about the spring season.
