Anyone know how they did yesterday? UNC played four teams: VCU, Radford, Navy, and George Washington. I know they split with VCU 21-25 and 25-19 as well as split with GWU 24-26 and 25-16. Heard we swept both Navy and Radford but could not find any definite info on that. Cox played as the Opposite so that looks to be where she is transitioning to. So probably Harrison and Austin on the left in the fall. I also think its ridiculous that for scrimmages this far away we are not getting updates....

It’s hard to really understand how we are doing without seeing them in person; but, I feel like with our talent level we shouldn’t be splitting sets against these opponents. I know it’s spring training, but still... I know VCU was solid last year but GW was 11–15 I think...

UNC Charlotte swept Tennessee this past weekend, but I don’t for one minute believe that UNC Charlotte is better than Tennessee, especially without their setter from last year who is transferring.

However, I do believe this was the spring format where for one or two of the matches that teams had to split and play at the same time on different courts. So you may not have had your best 6 or 7 on one court. Spring is a good time to develop everyone. I do not believe in any spring scrimmage so far that Sagula has had a "starting 6" lineup. Cox was out against NCSU and then this weekend with the split format it is possible as well. I just wish they would facebook live or periscope matches or just tweet updates....if you want your fans to get back involved let them see the team progress.

NC State had a scrimmage on their IG live this weekend.

In this day and age it shouldn’t be difficult to set up a smart device and stream.

I guess we will see if there is more coverage on April 14th for the round robin tournament.
What I am hearing is that there is reason to be optimistic for the improvements being made....especially on the offensive end.

Some exciting news on Parker Austin - vball recruit 2019. She has been invited to the Team Canada Sr Women Volleyball tryout in May. Not sure if any other High School players were invited, but know the invites we’re limited to 50 across the country. What a very cool experience for her. Do you have a link? I'd be interested to see who's invited!

I cannot wait to see the impact she is going to make. Her defense and serve receive seems to be something that will really be beneficial in combination with solid offense.

Depends if their SID will cover it I’m guessing. I’m assuming if it’s home they will have to if their spring sport doesn’t have a home game. I know I’ll be there.

UNC wins it’s first set 25-17 over High Point. Lauren Harrison with 4 kills. Interesting, Archer started as setter and when she got to the front row Atherton came on and stayed on in the 5–1. Cox and Wine were six rotations at the RS and OH respectively.
