I'm still processing last night, considering the "getting Stanford out of system" aspect, which I think is largely true. Some day (not yet) I think i will match the match and see how often each team got the other out of system.
I had fun in Pitt, walked the point state park and by chance as I was walking back into town I walked right by the team bus by the hotel. I figured I might get lucky and have some players walk out and some did and I was about to say "get 'em next year" when I realized it was Dodge, Duello, and Whitehead, so instead I said "thanks for the memories." I didn't want to stand around and stalk so I walked on.
A lot of other teams started their next year thinking way sooner than this. Stanford also was a wrecking ball through the previous two matches as well. It was what it was. I'm really hoping for a redemption chance and to put the final four experience to use, coming back as veterans.

^I need a reason to go to Omaha. WI would be it. It could be a few more years after that.
It's true..WI could have played better. But I think the loss was still there.

Loberg is gonna really have to step up her blocking to move to the right.
I have a feeling Robinson will be a serious contender for playing time on the right, especially if she’s coming in January.
I don’t think we’d’ve recruited Kraft to have her for just a year if we didn’t expect her to play. She’ll have the ball control covered. I also remember reading she’s a really good blocker, so perhaps she also gives Haggerty and Loberg a challenge.

Great video. Bianca probably had tears streaming down her face when she made it. (and the rest of us, while watching it)

Journal Sentinel showing quite a bit of love for Badger women’s sports in their 19 best athletes of 2019 article, Rettke and women’s hockey and soccer also in the list (former soccer player anyway).

Rose Lavelle should have absolutely been highlighted this year. So glad she was that high on the list.

I guess it takes winning the world cup, winning a title and playing for a title to get noticed but at least they got noticed

They also made the Journal-Sentinel's top 20 best moments of 2019. Sure, they had to share one of the spots with UW Softball. And, they don't appear to be in any sort of order. You can tell headline writers aren't volleyball fans. The headline in the Wisconsin State Journal after the Baylor match was something like, "Wisconsin stuns #1 Baylor" and this one is "Badgers softball, volleyball teams stun No. 1 teams in postseason." Maybe the softball win over Oklahoma was a stunner (Though, Oklahoma still eliminated them), but there was never anything stunning about Wisconsin beating Baylor. #Nitpicking www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2019/12/26/these-were-20-best-moments-2019-wisconsin-sports/4387820002/

A stunner would have been beating Stanford. Beating Baylor was extremely plausible, and happened.

I think winning the BIG10 title outright, with the schedule stacked against them, was a more impressive accomplishment than the tournament run! Playing the 3 second place teams twice, while those 3 only played each other once was such a tough road.
