BS!!! Louisville is not a team that should have beat Texas! That was a terrible match and Elliott should have had the team better prepared. Agreed. This is a team with again, top ten talent at every position minus setter and libero, and yet, setter is the single most important position on the court. that's a pretty big anchor to Texas' potentially speedboat.

Ok I just watched Nebraska vs. Wisconsin and I have to say those teams look WAY better than Texas. In particular the defense. They got to ball after ball after ball that UT just simply would not have come close to. It's like they were playing a whole different sport than Texas plays. It was astonishing. Yes UT has massive hitters but the defense that Texas plays is not even in the same universe as those teams.

Who wants to start the Texas 2020 thread? LOTS to look forward to next year! Honestly seems like a lot of holes we had this year should be filled next year. 2 elite passers and a top setter that’s coming in the spring.

This is a team with again, top ten talent at every position minus setter and libero, but has top ten talent also on the bench. Texas should NOT ever gone five let alone loss. This loss is on the coaching staff. They were out coached in every facet of the game Considering that Louisville's best player was out injured, it's more than a loss on the coaching staff. It's a flat out embarrassment! Santa Barbara and Louisville coaches both shamed the Longhorns preparation. These teams demonstrated what faster team tactics can do to a power team. Texas will not embrace the first touch best practices that propel well coached teams. The serve and receive Longhorn Achilles heel remains improperly addressed. The Horn's definition of a good first touch needs to be replaced. Their slow game is not fooling anyone.

I say pay Salima however much you can to train the setters. Chloe Collins was the last of her influence and that's the last time we had success like the final four.

Is Sullivan the defensive coach? Maybe that is the change needed?

And a 5th year senior who still can’t figure out how to be a solid passer and get her serves in, to name a few. but, with Parral coming in, she’s already a proven passer, so unless she’s undeveloped at Texas, they will finally have a great passing OH

I know y'all are disappointed. Same. It was just one of those days. Have to look forward. I just want to say, I love your facilities, love your campus, love your town, and even your perfect airport. Thanks for being great hosts.

Egglestone passed a 2.16 on the season. I don't know why no one is aware of that.

Is there a database that fans like me, lazy fans to be sure, can look up during the season and track the passing score?
I saw your very detailed explanation about the scoring on passes. And then of course, I saw the disagreement on the scoring flare up - which tells me this is subjective(?) and not crunched on the NCAA site?

Unfortunately not. Passing stats are either recorded in house (by an assistant or senior player) or by an analytics service like VM (these are the stats used by D1 programs, not NCAA.com). There are two kinds of people who "disagree" with them; those that don't understand them (a lot around here, it seems) or those that dislike anything which proves their preconceptions false. Bottom line is the data is the data. Facts don't care if people like them or not.
