As far as I could see, Miller didn't make the trip to Michigan. Is that right?

A combination of CC with Rosado's 2nd contact play would make an out-of-this-world libero.
I did not see Miller. But that's just me.

I don't quite get the gloom-and-doom on the Michigan match. A road match against a quality opponent and a gutsy, come-from-behind effort (the broadcast said the Gophers' first win after being down two in five years) feels like a great result to me. And, honestly, if the Gophers had figured out the Welsh dumps before she racked up seven kills on them, they could have taken the match in three. Yes, I hope Miller is back soon but the Gophers might be OK resting her until, oh, mid-November.

Probably has only happened a couple of times in 5 years

There's no doom and gloom about the Michigan match anyhow. Everyone was happy they won, I bet. If there's doom and gloom it's about their prospects going forward. They need Miller. Will they ever have her?

Ladies and Gentlemen - Whatever it takes, I just want MN Gopher fans to be happy and/or continue to be happy. I for one.

After some promising flashes, I do hope Miller gets better. Let her go out with a bang after musical setters in her previous years.
And while I haven't seen Michigan, they aren't exactly any ol' cupcake.

Probably has only happened a couple of times in 5 years The Gophers have dropped the first 2 sets 17 times since 2015, winning 3 of those matches. 2019 (N)Florida St 0-3 @ Texas 0-3 @ Wisconsin 0-3 @ Michigan 3-22018 (N)Oregon (9/7) 1-3 2017 Michigan St 0-3 @ Nebraska 0-3 Penn St 1-3 (N)USC 0-3 2016 @ Stanford 1-3 Nebraska 3-2(FF)Stanford 1-3 2015 @ Stanford 0-3 @ Penn St 2-3 @ Purdue 2-3 Ohio St 3-2(FF)Texas 1-3

Bayley is set to overtake Miller as the leader in assists for today’s Michigan State match, if all goes well (!!).
Still surprised they haven’t used Dolonga in a 6-2 yet with Miyabe at OPP. I have a hunch that if Miller is out for extended matches again, they **may** give it a shot. Probably still working on fine tuning little things with her. I thought Dolonga was just as good as Bayley in the scrimmage and actually seemed to run a naturally faster offense. Was a bit less creative with her choices, maybe.

While I want the best possible lineup for an NCAA run - so, Miller - I've enjoyed watching the different sub patterns, setting options, lineups, etc. while she's been out. It's wacky, nerve wracking, yet inspiring. Yes, it's been a mess at times, but I like the experimentation and seeing adjustments on the fly. They have a lot of talent, but can they get it to gel for a deep tourney run.

No. Too many moving parts and too much that has to go right. Doom and gloom? Fine. But if Miller doesn't come back, an NCAA deep run is not possible -- and, imo, a rough 2nd half to the B1G is very possible. They do not have the ball control to compensate. They are juggling bowling balls while walking a tight rope. Cheers!

It’s rare that we’re down 0-2 and then come back to WIN, but why should -that- bum us out?

I tend to agree with (R)uffda, to a large degree. Running in subs frequently, such as McMenimen, Aiyabe, Rubright, and Sheehan, can create some real depth down the home stretch, but without Miller back and at full strength they're not likely to beat enough top-ten teams. With Miller in great form, they have a chance to beat anybody, imo. Amazing how they keep winning short a starter.
