I just want the fall schedule. Any insights? We may be out of luck until June - I think that's how long it took to announce the fall schedule last year. I just hope we know what the spring schedule looks like next Sunday.

I just want the fall schedule. Any insights? Pretty sure they’ll play Stanford and Oregon again as part of the B1G/PAC challenge. Anyone know whose hosting this year though? And I think they’re in the ACC/B1G challenge still, so probably UNC and Florida State again

And I think they’re in the ACC/B1G challenge still, so probably UNC and Florida State again Heard it was at Penn St this fall, not sure what weekend though. Also heard the last year of the ACC/B1G challenge was last year.

Acc/b1g is at north carolina this year i believe I’m sure when they started this the Big 10 teams thought North Carolina was going to be legit sweet 16+ contender and an actual benefit to RPI and the seeding race.

If you go to Badger matches, even “sold out” ones, you see many empty seats. I am not nuts about the steady Gopher ticket increases but I’d argue the Badgers undervalue their tickets, which results in people not minding if they simply don’t use the ones they’ve bought.

I agree with this. Since the gophers ticket prices have gone up, and they are winning, people either sell there tickets or share them rather than leave them empty. For example, I know someone who sold there section 5 tickets for the Penn State for $100. They had to miss the match and said the money helped off set the high season ticket prices.

I have read up on Wisconsin's ticket situation, and read some of the Wisconsin board on it. The sense I have gotten is multi-pronged.
First, the nature of the Field House is such that there are going to be empty seats just because there are enough obstructed view seats to make many seats in the lower levels worthless.
Second, I read once a few years ago (and for some reason the memory sticks) that when Wisconsin increased its ticket prices they did so very tentatively, and Barry Alvarez's reason for that is that he wants to maintain volleyball as a family friendly event in terms of pricing.
Third, it seems that the point system that Wisconsin uses in determining priority for football and basketball tickets provides incentive to buy tickets to other sports. So, some may dish out the $100 (or whatever it costs) with no intention of ever going, and just book the priority points to keep/improve their football/basketball seats.
Clearly, more people are attending. Still, 31% of tickets going unused seems incredibly steep to me. But, I also have no point of reference or comparison to other schools.

Since season tickets for Badger VB were only $60 (or just $30 for youth/seniors) it wouldn't surprise me in the least if people are getting season tickets in order to boost their score //improve their seats for the sport(s) they care about. I can't even blame them (though I fault their selection of sports)

I've been to a bunch of volleyball matches in Madison the last couple years. I'm not talking about obstructed-view seats going empty. I'm talking about primo seats, lots of them, that are unoccupied, even at matches that are "sold out." (And, btw, the Pavilion has way more bad seats than the Field House.)
