Nebraska May have a good defense but there is not a Libero in country that can stop Plummer when she’s going and if there was it prob be her teammate. Less forget Stanford has the best libero in country probably. There is not a defense in the country that can stop Plummer when she is full tilt and that is why nobody is gonna beat Stanford. Oh btw the have some pretty good other player also lol. But Plummer is the insurance policy. Best u can buy. I will go one, or two, further. BYU's Libero is better than Nebraska's, and she could not stop Plummer. Also, BYU's block is much better than Nebraska's. We all witnessed what Plummer and Stanford, did to BYU. Also, need to take into account, Stanford is NOT one dimensional like Illinois proved to be. Everyone brings up the psu match as them not being untouchable. Well I’m a psu fan first and have to say I honestly don’t think Stanford was awake to start they match. Your welcome Stanford btw for wake up call. Now go handle business

Regardless of the outcome...we just want Lexi to be happy Lexi will never be happy at Nebraska, cause she will never win a National Championship there. She should have gone to Stanford, but she just does not have the brains to get into Stanford. Have just enough brains to get into Nebraska.I bet she has enough brains to be able to form a complete sentence.

I think Stanford comes in as the obvious favorite, but a couple things Nebraska have in its favor are: 1. Championship experience 2. Home Crowd (you can expect half of Lincoln is driving up Saturday morning for this match) 3. Experience in tight games (tonight was exhibit A, they've also played a lot of close games this year and have improved mightily at closing them out) 4. Passing/defense. All of their backrow players have become really strong defenders. Stanford has Hentz and a solid backrow but their floor defense isn't as good overall as Nebraska's IMO. 5. Coaching experience. John Cook has done a stellar job of calling zones for Nebraska the past few matches as well as utilizing his challenges effectively. He also has 4 titles to Hambly's zero. Hambly wins in the looks department though. My betting money says Stanford because they're better at most positions and have Plummer, but Nebraska has shown unbelievable heart and will have a raucous crowd cheering them on. It's also really hard to bet against Foecke in December, so we'll see what happens. Hoping Nebraska can pull this off because Stanford is going to be untouchable next year. Yeh, lol... "Stanford's going to be untouchable next year." ... Blah, blah, blah... Everyone who's supposed to be an "expert" has been saying that same thing every year since the class of Plummer/Fitmorris/Grey/Hentz class arrived ... Gee... How's that worked out for ya? How many NCs has that class won? How many has Nebraska won in that timespan?
GBR!
Right now they are even 1 & 1. Stanford won it two years ago, when Plummer was a Freshman. Nebraska won it last year. BUT Stanford will win it this year, and also, next year. Scary to say, Stanford will be a better team next year. So within a four year span, that would put Stanford at 3 National Championships, and Nebraska at just 1.

There's a reason the committee loaded all but one Big Ten team on one side of the bracket ding-dong: they didn't want to see the entire Final Four from the B1G. Stanford was very fortunate to get past Penn State.... Stanford is very good, but they're not good enough! Enjoy it while you can. Stanford's going down. Hard. The reason the committee loaded the B1G teams on one side, was to ensure at least one B1G made it through to the final! Card has never lost to Wisconsin, Illinois, or Minnesota. They wisely put Penn State and Michigan on our side--other than Nebraska, the two B1G's with best chance of stopping Card.

I think the key to Nebraska will be Sun. Can she have two straight matches with double digit kills. Iam afraid that if Stanford starts blocking her, she will just collapse. Nebraska really has to serve tough in order to keep it close. All year long Stanford always finds a way to win close matches due to there huge block. The 5 matches Stanford has played this postseason they are averaging 12.8 blocks a match.

Have just enough brains to get into Nebraska.I bet she has enough brains to be able to form a complete sentence. I really wonder about that. She went to a team who will not win a National Championship during her college career. So you have to wonder about how much brains she really does have.

Both equal size logos for me. I am refusing to "like" your thread, since it is completely biased with your huge "This we will defend" opening. grr What else would he put up there? Nebraska is the only team defending to keep that trophy. We will not let go of it easily How about a huge Stanford Tree blocking out the sun, with corn husks wilted and dying in the shadow.

They will be humbled just like psu fans have. Nothing last forever and my guess is Stanford goes back to back.

The committee has shown over and over again that they don't pay any attention at all to conferences when they are stacking up the seeds.

Stanford is a fabulous team and the Huskers will definitely have their plate full on Saturday night. Having said that, there have been much stranger things occur in sports than if NE were to be victorious. Don't count them out.

To answer your question it will will the same amount of championships as Nebraska. Lol. That is one national championship each since they won it there freshman year and they are only juniors this year Well after Saturday it will be two. Next ...

She already knows if she tries to hit hard, she will get blocked. Lexi Sunn has not met a Libero in Hentz, who will be able to pick up all of her off-speed stuff. It will not surprise me if Lexi Sunn is pulled, in favor of someone else, or she just hits negative.

This must suck for Penn State fans. If Stanford wins, they pass PSU for number of titles. But if Nebraska wins, well, it's Nebraska.... ...and Nebraska pulls within 1 and Cook within 2 and he is young enough and healthy enough to think 2 more are possible. Not to this PSU fan. It’s a no brainer. Stanford going ahead of psu is much less painful then Nebraska catching them.
