This definitely makes me happy...good for Mary!!! Thanks for the info Atticus--I for one am very excited about the talent coming in on the pins. I am really excited to watch the development. I am totally intrigued by Morgan Johnson...I watched her mother back in the day and she was really really good...can't wait to watch the daughter. Anyone know when BYU freshman get to campus--are they all there for the summer? Also, not sure if this changed with the new legislation--heard it may have.

Texas released their 2019 schedule, and they play the Cougars on September 13 at Wichita State...

I don’t, my guess is that they will go with the senior, and give Bower time to get up to speed.

It's gotta be a possibility no? Seemed like odd timing to reclassify and graduate. Maybe to give space between her and the 2021 setter commit.

I feel your pain Redfan (three of my all-time favorites) ... Here is how I look at it. RJP and the Haddocks show how incredible our coaching staff is at developing players and getting kids better. That coupled with the fact that in 2018 our recruiting class was #8 and this year we are even higher (top 5)....I can't wait to see what our coaches can do in terms of player development the next couple years.
I think I first saw attribute with this staff with Whitney Young...another example of a kid that got better every year under our coaches. That coach of the year award last year was was well deserved.

I just loved the way those women played. Seemed like Roni threw every ounce of energy into every attack and every block, and so did the Haddocks. Fought every point like assassins.

Agree, I would be surprised if Bower wasn't the setter this year (but what do I know). If she wasn't playing in 2019 - why not join the team in January, 2020 and work with the team in the spring in preparation for the 2020 season and save a year of eligibility?

I don’t see Allison Stapleton on the roster. I think she would have been a junior?
Curious who is on scholarship. Was there a scholarship available for Bower?

I don't have any inside info. I just assume that comparing a senior with experience to a raw freshperson (let's not be sexist!) with none, unless there is a substantial difference, go with the senior. But BYU has not been hesitant to put a freshperson on the floor.
