Mine is a bit different. Carlini, Larson, Hill, Lowe, Akinradewo, Ogbogu, Robinson. MBH has to improve her passing in order to be a consistent starter. I too love Megan Courtney but I think that Libero spot is Kelsey’s to lose at this point.

I know everyone was rooting for out of college but there is no argument to her being better than Lloyd currently

Sorry if already asked, but are the March 1-3rd tryouts in Colorado Springs open to the public?

That was reported by a fairly reputable poster over on one of the Stanford threads. To keep y'all from salivating TOO much, KP had a meniscus injury - from sand playing - which was arthroscopically operated upon (quite successfully). Post-surgery she became a (consecutively) 2x NPOY. Being that she IS NOT a machine, she is taking it easy!

A few thoughts:
Chances of this happening are slim to none because Karch, but I really hope we have a new opposite emerge before Tokyo. Murphy/Lowe just aren't cutting it anymore and Drews is not the answer either.
I too prefer Courtney at libero.
Gibbemeyer has really emerged as one of the better MBs in the world these last couple of years. By far the best blocker on the team. I think she starts opposite Foluke in Tokyo. I also think Ogbogu should be the 3rd middle they bring. I've been so pleasantly surprised by her growth since she graduated from Texas.
4th OH they bring should be Lee. You've got to start investing in athletes like her. Wilhite is a nice player, but she's not raising the bar by any means.

Because this is definitely debatable. Open those eyes hun.

Have you watched Carlini in Italy this season?

But if she is the Libero for the Tokyo roster then Kelsey is the 4th OH and you can kiss bringing Simone Lee good-bye. Larson, Hill and MBH have those spots pretty much locked at this point. If Simone learns to control her passing I think she will be a crucial part of the team moving towards Paris 2024
Karsta will be the answer at Opposite. She is the strongest viable candidate in the gym right now with the highest ceiling. Drews is also worth investing in and is still quite young and when she gets past the block she isn't getting dug unlike Murphy. She and Karsta could compete for a spot all the way to 2024 as they will be 31 in that year.
Right now the main concern is finding a consistent setter. That is paramount. With out a consistent play maker the whole system is moot. The sets have to be high enough to beat the block and fast enough to create one on ones. When Lloyd was setting all last year getting the ball to the pins fast was not her problem. The sets were just too low and even in a one on one scenario our hitter were getting stuffed.
I do wonder if her shoulder injury in 2017 is to blame.......

Carlini? I know everyone was rooting for out of college but there is no argument to her being better than Lloyd currently Have you watched Lloyd since her shoulder injury? Have you watched Carlini in Italy this season? Carlini does nothing but set Egonu every ball.. Did you watch what she did with Egonu in the game against Scandicci?... Egonu got around 80 sets...while M.B.H got like 25 and everyone else 10 or less. Novara is in first place, but they are struggling more than they should. Carlini is just a OK setter, there`s simply nothing special about her, and she makes no difference whatsoever. Whenever she plays with the bench players they can`t win a set not even against club Italia, so they must bring in all the starters. If she was a difference maker Novara would win when Carlini plays with the bench. But that is not the case. I wrote last season that Carlini would not be at VNL and even less in the WCH....and I`m saying this right now already...She won`t be in Tokyo. If she will be the starting setter they will even struggle to get out of Pool Play.

If it's not there in the first or second year, forget her, kick her to the road and move on? Adjustments for Carlini is all. She knows that .. you know that and so do I. So give her a break.
