Is SSS training with the national team in Anaheim right now? The national team isn't training in Anaheim right now.

Flo just posted an interview with Haleigh Washington on Brescia’s surprise success over in Italy this year.
She said Karch and her went to lunch and discussed her future on the NT. She said he also came to watch Hancock play.
She said Karch was filling the gym with players this summer because of all of the tournaments coming up. She seemed excited.
I have a feeling a setter shake up is at hand. I’ll remain cautiously optimistic 🤷🏻♂️😐.

Now what about Carlini?

Now what about Carlini? Provided Carlini is healthy I see no reason why she wouldn’t be in the mix this summer. I’m cautiously optimistic because I think Karch will probably give Lloyd one more tournament to see if she is going to improve. When she doesn’t then he will have all of the younger talent he needs to shake things up. We are in for a lot of volleyball this summer. 3 major and 3-4 minor tournaments on the schedule. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw upwards of 40 athletes in the gym this summer.

Why anyone would be surprised about the setter position shake up is beyond me. Karch has already gone on record saying that we had a problem at the setting position last year. It was pretty obvious who that was.

It was pretty obvious who that was. ...and yet he started her 98% of the time despite the obvious problems over the last two seasons. I wouldn't hold my breath, but I'd be happy to eat my words. Hope you're right.

Is SSS training with the national team in Anaheim right now? The REAL question is whether the national team is giving her hard looks or not this early. She was passed over for the top collegiate team just last summer. Had a terrible tryout. IMO, they have a good mix of youth and experience already for this quad, there is NO reason to give any recent college setter a look at the senior national team.

Lloyd needs to be cut, in my opinion. 5th place finish at Worlds, being subbed out throughout the tournament, and not even starting the final match. I don’t see how WCH’s wasn’t her last chance.

I’m cautiously optimistic this quad. At least next quad we will see a whole new wave of young talent in the gym. I look forward to watching them develop. It might be a rebuilding quad but come 2028 when we host the games that elusive gold might finally be with in grasp.

so is the consensus that Courtney will be libero? I know she isn't an elite attacker but she looks good on her Italian team!
