Not saying SSS will (or will not) set the US National team, but this "she's far too small" is a quite odd statement, considering she's taller than Hancock who has gotten some recent looks from the national team... She's also maybe one inch shorter than Carli Lloyd... I think your measurements are a little off...Hancock is taller & Lloyd is 5'11" I believe... In my head Hancock was 5'10", SSS 5'10"-5'11", and Lloyd 5'11" but I guess I am wrong! Still - there's not enough difference there to say "SSS is far too small" to set for the national team.

They all suck. Can any of them even set the middle?

I don't think she's far too small, but I would say that she's obviously been at national team training blocks, etc. before & something has always stopped her from moving to the "next level" or the second group, whatever you want to call it, so I think it's easy for people to assume that it's her height that holds her back at times.

They all suck. Can any of them even set the middle? We can just run a 4-2 with Carlini and Hancock setting out of the middle... there problem solved.

Even if we take out size, poulter and carlini are still better Why? Because I think they are better at volleyball than she is. Why else would I say they are better?

Sss has stunning talent for college ball but nothing speacial for next level.
Even Carlini is better pure setter than her, if we take out size.

Two points -- 1). I was first captivated by women's Olympic VB in 1964 when I watched the Japanese team win the initial competition; 2). Although my focus turned to playing, coaching, plus mostly following the NCAA version, I Do Know about Stanford's program: fairly intimately. For those who are chomping-at-the-bit/ salivating re: Katherine Plummer, you may NOT be aware that KP's "first love" is sand VB; she May Not Really consider the USWNT, vis a' vis a pro beach contract. Seriously. She had a knee injury (meniscus) wherein playing outdoors may be her future.

She has stated in a few interview ewe dating back to even early high school that she looks up to Karch and what he did and wants to play olympics in both aspects. If she continues with this dream she will have to play indoor first because playing beach only for years and then transitioning to indoor is harder then transitions from indoor to beach.

If she was not considering indoors, why is she 1) Not playing beach at Stanford. 2) Graduating early. 3) (Rumored to be) training with the USA team this summer. This tells me she wants to go indoors if anything

Not disputing anything you stated, historically: here is my point...as a potential update of that. In the NC match - first set, 7-4 NE - there was a play in which KP had to bail out of hitting a marginal set to her. KK (who was the analyst to Sunderland on the broadcast), stated that she had an awkward hitting position -- putting too much pressure on her leg -- and she gave up on the play. I have watched that play ~15-20 times (just did right now, to get the correct score re: that incident), and I concur with Kiraly. Also, they showed a close-up of her ankles, shins and knees. She had some support for that one leg particularly. IOW: her physical condition, post-meniscus surgery, might have precluded her adjusting to make an attempt on that poor pass. Which might indicate a change in future plans. None of us knows do we? We'll see!

I disagree. I don't see a reason why she would graduate early other than volleyball. Your claiming of "insider knowledge" is merely speculation
