Found some actual gameplay on YouTube Definitely rough animations on blocking and defense but I like the way that serving and setting choices work. And it looks a little bit like actual volleyball which is very different from any other games😂 Doesn't seem to capture the raw speed of the real game, especially for high level men.

The Libero seems to have some pretty athletic moves.

So it is pretty tuff to pass on the game. Once the pass it made the setting is straight forward with a couple different plays you can run. Blocking and digging is all about waiting and timeing. Once I get the passing down I will give another update.

I can't really enjoy a game unless it has a death component.

Doesn't this belong on the men's board (based on the demos)? ;-)

I just purchased this - I will follow up with my thoughts... though I’m kind of guessing I will end up regretting this purchase.
Edit: I’m two matches in, and this definitely feels like a $9.99 game.
I don’t regret the $40 purchase, though. (Yet.) I’ll keep playing and see how it goes once I start improving my skills... hopefully that improves the replays, too.. currently sometimes the ball is nowhere near hands even though it supposedly touched them.

I can't really enjoy a game unless it has a death component. You’ve obviously never been hung out to dry by your blockers

I really like the serving! the passing is very touchy and the blocks looks crazy.. they do have a women's team option. so far it is a 9.99 game.

I turn the replay option off, both the default camera and sideline camera have neat points of view.
Mostly enjoy the hitting, serving the most and reception is fun to. With hitting I got use to charging up the attack to full and adjusting the location right before release of hit. Got some nice hard sharp angle shots in or line shots pass the blocker.
Having a lot of fun just takes time to get use to controllers, ie how to use location and charge simultaneously.

Even in the "legit" sports games like Madden, NBA 2K, College Hoops (back in the day), and EA's NCAA College Football series, the replays always sucked. I would not deduct points off this vb game just because the replays sucked because replays in almost every sports game have sucked. It's a tradition.
I am, however, not saying this vb game is any good. I'm just saying don't judge it based on the replay feature.

I wish there were a little more freedom of movement, choosing which player to use to receive, etc. It's fun, I'm glad I bought it, but it's definitely not on par with most $40 games. Did someone say there's a women's option? Where is that? I searched around the game but didn't see it.

When your on one of the game play options and the box have two boxes in the bottom corner just use stick to push right or left
