Miles & Billy are a very good team Donald!! Didn't address what I asked you Kerri, are you saying they would've made zero AVP dollars all summer? They left thousands on the table, no other way to spin it. You don’t make thousands on the AVP unless you are an April or Phil. Or Kerri when she returns.

I think the thinking is, with all the AVP players who played P1440 it must be not be a road block anymore, so why wouldn't they? But p1440 didn’t even exist when they decided not to sign the AVP contract. Definitely good if they do so now, but then p1440 couldn’t use them in promotional materials. And they risk Donald refusing to let them play at all.

If they had played Manhattan and gotten 5th, would've spilt $7500, that's thousands and certainly good money for pro volleyball players.

Hermosa same thing, they're plenty solid enough to grab 5ths especially when top AVP teams were missing. Now go away Kerri with your L.

Because then they lose the allure of being the anti-AVP team and get lumped in with the rest of the middle AVP teams, which doesn't make them such a topic of discussion? If that's their aim, they are two really dim players. Both of them left thousands of dollars on the table last season, if they do it again, they need to 5150 themselves. P1440 sponsored them so they were compensated not to play AVP. Probably made about the same but missed opportunities to play. Hope they are able to play this year, they still get a bad rap even though they perform well against other 2nd tier US teams.

They should be 5th or better in every AVP based on experience and talent though qualifying every tournament for half season won't be much fun let alone guarantee they survive them all.

Miles billy go down. Miles couldn’t side out at all. Billy was just steady billy.
Looking at scores etc we could lose slick and hyden this round and already lost Reid. I guess no suprise we only have 2 top 20 teams

I guess no suprise we only have 2 top 20 teams Reid's loss far worse as our expectations for them are much higher than Miles. Miles' vision isn't spectacular as he consistently misses seeing entire right side open as he hits short cut between blocker and defender left side, gobbled up.

Also each team gets $2000 to split, does anyone know for sure what USA Beach pays in hotels, airfare, etc, if you make FIVB MD?

Miles' vision isn't spectacular as he consistently misses seeing entire right side open as he hits short cut between blocker and defender left side, gobbled up. Miles was pretty awful in that match. He got dug almost every time he attacked a ball and he missed a decent match point chance. Billy was solid the whole match, im becoming a big fan of his. One thing that is absolutely horrible about the FIVB is the ref let Krou throw the ball all over the place, some really awful sets, but as soon as there was some very mild chatter, he jumped on it rather than let the players get into it a little. Krou is a fun player to watch because he is so dynamic, but if Miles did anything that match its a fairly easy win. I didnt even watch Theo/Reid because I figured the other matches would be better. Very disappointing, but nice comeback win for Stafford. Slick is such a sweetheart, at one point he told one of the Lithuanians to close his mouth or something like that, he yelled on an over ball, but it came out sounding like a thank you for a Christmas gift. US rallied to get the last three matches. Ryan and John were on the unsheltered court and the wind was extreme. John struggled but Ryan was really composed and picked up the slack. I was really impressed with him in the strong wind, his ball control has really developed over the years. Still not Sinjin-esque or anything, but played a really nice match. (of course it didnt hurt that their opponents were not good). Jake and Taylor got a fairly simple win too. The Chinese right side blocker is a lot of fun to watch, he gets off the ground so easily, sort of a victim of the country v country model.
