There are 2 Q spots for USA out of the CQ. Oh. I thought only one team would come out of CQ always. So that means that they’ll just play one match in CQ. If you look at the Qualifier page, they are holding 1 spot for Brazil, and 2 for USA.

Country Quota explained:
If more than 4 teams of a country have enough points to at least make the Qualification a Country Quota has to be played. All teams of that country that have made the Main Draw are excluded from the country Quota. All teams of that country that would be in the Qualification bracket have to play Country Quota. In the end 4 teams of that country will be eligible to play in either MD or QU. (Wild Cards don't count against the national contingent)
Since only 2 USA teams have enough points to enter the MD all other USA teams play Country Quota for the remaining 2 QU spots.

If 4 US teams have enough points to make the MD, but there are other US teams that would have made the qualifier, the lowest ranked team + the quali teams play CQ is that correct?

Yes you are correct.
I think that the max. number of teams per country is restricted to 8(?) for one event. If (in theory) all 8 teams have enough points to make the MD, the 3 teams with the most points would be qualified for the MD. All 5 other teams would have to play CQ where the winner would get 1 Qualifier spot since the number of pre-qualified MD teams is restricted to 3 per federation.

Dalcena have dropped down the list drastically in World Rankings and Entry Points Rankings. Currently 33rd in the world and 18th in Entry points. They will not be the #1 seed anymore...

It's the loss of the Ft. Lauderdale Points with no 5 star replacement. The world ranking is just lack of tournaments in general.

When they update the list next week, Doha from last year will also be dropped. And then Dalcena will drop even more in rankings. This Doha tournament was a must if they didn’t want to have the possibility of playing in qualifiers next time in Xiamen. The cancellation of FTL really screwed them up. Let’s hope that changes next week.

After Doha, Crabb/Bourne may be the top team, Bourne gets all the points without dropping any, and Crabb's highest are still good.

It was a dangerous gamble to begin with to play that few tournaments 2018. It now seems to bite them.
Edit: Even if they lose their Doha points they will still have 2060 points as a team since their last 4 tournaments count. They will not drop to qualification and will remain the #2 (or #3 if Bourne/Crabb goes past them) US team
