More than welcome to have your opinion, but you're eye test really tells you that Roberts and Bloomquist would start at PSU, GMU, Harvard, Princeton, and NJIT? Being respectful of their numbers. And yes , in this unique year, they would push to start on a number of those teams. Akbar, normally I read your posts and think you have some keen insight. But this response? You are out of your mind. Neither of those guys would push anyone to start on PSU, GMU, Princeton, or NJIT.

Eye test guys like Reese, Garcia and Berger will be in consideration at the end but as I said this is a unique year with odd action in the middles. But yes both middles at St. Francis Herc and Carver, Dow at Harvard...and whoever they put there would be pushed. Andrew at Princeton (the only true middle) is not strong and Gaitling and Payne would also be pushed. Of course , you are all free to offer points to argue for these positions, but at this point I tried to stay as focused on the numbers as possible. Who I think will be there at the end is another discussion but there are good players scattered throughout this league. The collective record for the 2019 EIVA is 66-87 and only 2 programs currently have a winning record. Point is just cause a guy starts on Mason, Princeton or PSU etc doesn't have the merit it used to this year especially. * Currently the frontruner for POY is on a team that may not even make the EIVA finals.....currently is key word in all my posts on this thread. **PSU is darn close to making real nice push. 2/3 moves have been made.

He has had plenty of success in the previous 2 years on top of this one? Seems like you reeeally don't like him? Personal issues, honestly I'm curious?

Bloomquist is a great player no doubt, but there's a lot of other good middles that are just as good or better. Nothing personal from anyone, just opinions. And I don't know if you want to use a "balling" performance against NJIT as a reference for him being a top 2 middle in that conference. Just as a reference if you look at other EIVA middles who played against NJIT: Bloomquist: 7-1-15 hit .400% Tuman: 7-0-8 hit .875% Dow: 9-0-13 hit .692% Reese: 6-1-11 hit .455%

Nope, no personal issues, and have nothing against him. Just don't think someone who has a great match against a 7-12 (overall) and 2-7 (EIVA) team like NJIT, garners that type of hype. He is a fine middle blocker. Just not at the top of the EIVA in terms of his production, or ability to carry the team like a few of the others around the conference. That's all. Don't read anything further into it.

Harvard loses to St. Francis in five (14-16 in the 5th) but the most startling stat line is Ctvrtlik finished with only 28 assists. Granted, St. Francis had 12 aces but 28 assists for a 5 setter? And he had 9 kills?
Injuries have destroyed Harvard that bad?

Nah....you can't use 7,8 or 9 matches as the measure. The eye test comes later. More than welcome to have your opinion, but you're eye test really tells you that Roberts and Bloomquist would start at PSU, GMU, Harvard, Princeton, and NJIT? It looks like Roberts was 9 kills. .390ish and 4 blocks tonight vs PSU. 2nd leading scorer in the match. I dont need an eye test to see this guy puts up numbers ....and on the road too.

btw wtf was going on in this PSU/UC match?
multiple deuce games?
Head scratching decision on the coaching staff as to using this match to develop personnel options against a lesser opponent last night. Opportunity lost imo.
