Are cowell and rosey cleared to play? I read on here that Cowell had his finger wrapped up and Rosey had a collision with Annatassiades lastt week.

The key piece for Hawaii will be Rado and if he can be consistent. His play this season has totally removed the burden solely on Stijn and it has balanced out our offense.
If he is on during that match up....oh baby, you better watch out.
I'm not gonna make any predictions because I think it will be close on both nights.

If the matches was this week,Cowell will be ready to go. Cowell was dressed and warmed up during the second night of the LMU series but did not go in. Yes, he had his right hand wrapped but was still hitting the ball hard during warm up. The concern would have been how he would feel after a ball is slammed off his thumb or how he would feel after diving for a ball.
My guess is he either sprained or jammed his thumb. Wrap it up good and tight and he should be able to play.

This will be the first true test for the Warriors this season. This will tell us if this team is a serious contender or not.
Warrior teams in the past have started off hot and faltered on the road and lost matches they shouldn't have.
For example, I do not feel the Warriors should have been beaten twice by CSUN last season on the road. CSUN was a decent team, but not to where they should have beaten the Warriors twice.
With this week off the Warriors should be well prepared for Irvine to kick off March.
P.S. not really liking the schedule this season, not the opponents per say, but lots of the long breaks in between matches.

I hope UH comes into the match with no injuries, the 6 starters now is powerful, but if they have to put in other players, I am worried. This last match with LMU in the second and especially in the third. UH got lucky in the third set.

Let's see if he can sustain that consistency against a tougher team like UCI.

But Charlie did say before the match that he was going to allow everyone to get into the match. I believe Charlie was allowing his B squad to fight through the adversity but in the end brought in Stijn to finish it off.

Uci's block is something that Hawaii haven't experienced anything like so far this season. It'll be interesting to see how (if) they get around that

They handled Pepps service pretty well. It should be a very close game, I think the teams are very evenly matched

It wasn't clear to me that Wade signaled for Worsley and SVT to come in at the end of that match. I didn't see him turn to the bench; he might of, I didn't see it though. I did see Joe and Stijn discussing on the sideline, then both took off. Charlie didn't flinch or change expression, so I assumed at the time he didn't object with his senior captains leading. But, my thought at the time was that Wade wasn't going to be too upset if his B squad and 3rd string setter lost a set. The no lost sets streak is a bit meaningless, in some ways becomes a bit of a burden in that he hasn't seen how his team reacts to a lost set this season, and he could have used that lost set as motivation and a teachable moment for his B team, the backup setters, and the team and coaching staff as a whole.

They called a timeout at 22-24. I'm almost assured that was schemed up at that time if Hawaii would side out. And of course they did when Humler scored to get it to 23-24. I do hear ya on the teachable moment part.

Do you all think it should of been a good idea that UH lost a set to LMU? Just to see if they can bounce back in the match?
