What I find most surprising (and I don't find this scandal to be that surprising because we all knew rich people did this kind of stuff for centuries) is the involvement of Lori Loughlin. What I mean is -- and I haven't done any research -- how does a two-bit actress whose claim to fame was a two-bit late-1980s/early-1990s TV show make so much money to afford to bribe someone $500K? Married rich? Full House made her a lot of money and she invested wisely? Scratching my head. If so, why weren't Gary Coleman, Todd Bridges, and Dana Plato super wealthy from Diff'rent Strokes? (Okay, maybe bad example.) I did recently read that another two-bit actor from a 1970s two-bit show, Danny Bonaduce from The Partridge Family, was selling his house for, like, $2M recently.
I think I should look for an agent so that I can get a role in one of those two-bit TV shows.

More background: Ferguson was the USC men's coach for 9 years up until 2015, which has very nice overlap with the crimes of Donna, Vavic and others. Oh... I guess I should have waited to read the other 710 students that have not been named yet before feeling bad for someone. Am I missing something? Are some of his USC athletes listed among the additional families named by Springer?

How much is Mossimo Giannulli Worth? Mossimo Giannulli net worth: Mossimo Giannulli is a fashion designer who has a net worth of $80 million. even with a plus or minus of 10 percent, they are rich enough to spend $500,000 on their daughter.

I believe they had two daughters enrolled in USC. Mossimo himself is a USC dropout because he wanted to start his clothing company instead of finishing school. So there is a legacy-ish factor sort of.

You'd think colleges would be lining up to admit anyone who is willing to pay FULL PRICE to get in. I thought that was what the FULL PRICE was for.

As for 2-bit shows and actors, please google Marion Ross from Happy Days (Richie's mom). She invested her money well and has net worth of $10m.

I’m sort of on the fence for punishing the students if they really didn’t know. If they earned a degree, why should it be taken from them? So if they cheated on their SATs to get in they should be allowed to stay as long as they are making the grade now? Let’s say it’s 50 kids per class, what about the 50 kids that didn’t get in that year? Now you’re telling kids it’s ok to cheat as long as you don’t get caught.

I think the consequence of this is going to be coaches having greater oversight before they can give out the golden ticket to get in.

Lori Loughlin did a bunch of Hallmark movies, didn’t she? You could make 6-8 of those a year.

Well their parents are going to prison. So it’s not like there won’t be consequences.

Oh... I guess I should have waited to read the other 710 students that have not been named yet before feeling bad for someone. Am I missing something? Are some of his USC athletes listed among the additional families named by Springer? They have only listed out 50 people so far and some of them are from the same family. Singer (who has been cooperating with the FBI) stated that he has done this for over 750 families. That are a lot more to be exposed. I was stating that maybe some of them dated back to the time that the WF coach was at USC and maybe this is where he got started in the ring... We will know in the next weeks I guess.

I bet Michael Jackson’s family is glad to be out of the headlines for a while.
