That is the gray area to me.  I understand your point and somewhat agree -- they 'earned' the degree by performing. But, if I was on the committee I would vote against them to preserve the integrity of the institution.  They entered fraudulently.  They cheated.  Honor is part of the degree and the privilege it bestows.  The currently enrolled ones, no gray, immediate removal.  But since this started nine years ago, there could be 100s of graduates.  Some are named in the complaint.  Everyone will have an opinion on that one. For me, it is like the case of the man that could not get into med school. Then he pretends to be AA and gets admitted.  If he completes the work and graduates should he become an MD when it is discovered what he did?  These are great debates.  I fall on the NO side. I fully admit that I went to a college I was unqualified for but there were rules that allowed for people like me. Others deserved to be there more than I, but the rules were followed and the school set the rules for their own reason$.  Legacies are similar to that situation, the school sets the rules for its own reason$. Care to share the link to this Med school story or you pulled it out of your @$$? As a "white chick" with quite enough Kiawaw and Cherokee in me to use to my benefit, but never did, or for my children who could benefit as well, I am highly offended my anyone who would lie and personify another group (races, athletes, genders) in order to fraudulently advance themselves ahead of those who might have advanced in their stead on their own merit(s). I can't post a med school link, but we all know of a fake Native American who got herself into law school, attained tenure at Harvard. Oh yeah, she apologized...because she now has some even greater goals for herself. smh. So offensive. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/elizabeth-warren-apologizes-for-calling-herself-native-american/2019/02/05/1627df76-2962-11e9-984d-9b8fba003e81_story.html All of these liars will give tearful apologies and want mercy from the justice system. The ones who worked their butts off to get into the institution of their dreams wanted justice too. They were sold out to the highest bidder. I have zero tolerance for cheaters.

Some of the kids had no idea. If I were the kid, I would be livid if my parents cheated to get me into a school. There was one sad case where the parents were dismayed that the kid wanted to keep retaking the ACT until they got a good enough score--so they cheated for them.... In Olivia Jade's case, she had to fake Crew photos so she very likely new and will end up withdrawing from school or expelled. Heck, if anything, her social media business can grow from this as everyone will be interested in her story now. I can see other non-revenue sport schools who are livid about this. In the USC Water Polo's case, he had an extra 250k to funnel into his program--which can be a huge competitive advantage. I can see the argument for wanting to strip his national titles for those years. If I heard about one who excelled in school or athletics who tested well and got great scores, then I would go along with this premise. However, I have not and therefore do not. In that case you stated, the kid SAID that she wanted to keep taking it if she didn't get X score, but I don't know that she ever got even close to it. Did you read facts otherwise? They just wanted to go immediately to GO and drop off their cash bag on the way. It would be very odd for them to not know. Technically they could say, I didn't know, and not know all the details. But they knew something fishy was up. And they liked the smell of that fish.

It is a similar dilemna and the guy that did it did not graduate so we will never know if the medical board would have found out or would have given him a license. Another similar example. Your parents steal some other kids bike, you use the bike, your parents get caught and get charged. Should you be allowed to keep the bike just because your parents are not sure which kid the bike was stolen from?

I hate to sound like Wolfgang, but Water Polo has no business being a college sport.

Lori Loughlin's kid must have had just terrible grades for her two rich and famous parents to feel like they had to bribe her way into USC. Are you aware of USCâs interquartile range for SATs and GPA for admission? There are clearly problems at the school, but your comment certainly demeans the 99.5% of kids who earned great scores to gain admission. Or do you think it is still 1975? I'm not saying dummies go to USC. I'm saying if your two rich, famous parents aren't enough of an influence to get you in, your grades must've sucked.

My top 5 things that make me happy:
1. 2. 3. 4. Watching greedy, corrupt, and cheating people get caught and humiliated in public. 5.

You are offended by something that the article given as proof says did not happen? "In the most exhaustive review undertaken of Elizabeth Warrenâs professional history, the Globe found clear evidence, in documents and interviews, that her claim to Native American ethnicity was never considered by the Harvard Law faculty, which voted resoundingly to hire her, or by those who hired her to four prior positions at other law schools. At every step of her remarkable rise in the legal profession, the people responsible for hiring her saw her as a white woman."

Two things:
My kids have tried to explain to me how people make a VERY GOOD living off YouTube and Instagram. Just by wearing a watch, or doing a make up tutorial. Boggles my mind. Kids that have grown up with a smart phone in their hand since 3rd grade now see this as a career choice. Oy vey.
I hope these charges stick. The fact that Sean Miller is still coaching at Arizona makes me wonder.........
One more. Iâm assuming the Donna whatâs-her-name made good money. How much is enough?

Harvard also is part of this scandal so I trust them implicitly lol. I forgot the best partâshe said yesterday she has âzeroâ sympathy for these cheaters. Lol lol lol and SMH

Somebody please explain this to me: Make up is basically a commodity but will some differences in quality levels. Brand name is the distinguishing factor. Make Up and perfume have unreal margins and are cheap to ship. She made a very savvy decision where to focus her efforts and her followers. If she picked other products, the value would not be so great. High margins/Cheap to Ship/consumables. (so recurring revenue from same customer). She deserves it because she used her "shot" with focus and on the right product.
